Microsoft WGA Update Anti-hack
Since the Windows Genuine Advantage debut as a pilot on 9/2004 Microsoft is slowly making the program more annoying and intrusive.
In the beginning the WGA was an opt-in feature, and then slowly it became mandatory. Users who choose not to validate their copy of Windows can not download updates from Windows update (they still can download critical security updates via automatic update feature in Windows).

15.9.2006Zune 2 Hacks
Hack #1:
Multi-Extension Support mod - This hack makes the Zune program support more
types of video, audio, and image extensions.
This mod converts files
for use on the Zune. Files are automatically converted to the exact specifications used on the Zune device, so no guesswork is involved. It also adds
the songs and movies to your library. The hack current supports the following: Audio: .aac, .aif, .aifc, .aiff, .au, .cda, .mid, .midi, .rmi, .snd,
and .wav files are now automatically added to your library and later converted and synced with the Zune device. They will not play in your Zune
program, though. Video: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .m2v, .mod, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpa, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, and .wm videos are now automatically added
to your library and later converted and synced with the Zune device. They will not play in your Zune program, though. Images: .png, .bmp, .gif, and
many other image file types have been found as being supported by the Zune program, but as of yet they cannot be added to the library or synced to
your device.
Hack #2: Not really a hack, more of a break-it-open guide -
Rapid
Repair, a personal music player parts and repair site, has opened up the new Zune 2 and
has the pictures to prove it. With their step-by-step guides,
you, too, can bust into your Zune,
old or
new, and
replace a part or two.
Hack #3:
Use the Zune 2 as a flash drive - this hack makes your
computer recognize your Zune 2 just like it's any ordinary USB flash drive.

21.11.2007Zune 2: An intimate conversation with the Zune team
Cesar Menendez, a Microsoft employee working on Zune, had some interesting things to note when Channel 10 interviewed him. It turns out that the newly
released Zune 4 ($150), Zune 8 ($200) and Zune 80 ($250), the names of which you may have guessed correspond to the device capacity in GB,
aren't the only part of the Zune experience that received a revamp. The Zune software and the Zune Marketplace have been recoded from the ground up.
Cesar also throws out a statistic: the Zune Marketplace now has 3 million tracks available, 1 million of which are DRM-free.

07.11.2007Zune DRM stripped
Hackers have released an
application that strips off
copy-protection features on
music bought via the Zune
Marketplace, Microsoft's
online music store. The
package makes it possible to
remove the DRM shackles off
Zune Marketplace tracks. Zune
Marketplace works with
Microsoft's Zune media
players in a similar way to
Apple's iTunes and iPod.
But unlike iPods, Zune
players come with built-in
Wi-Fi connections. So the hack
allows subscribers of Zune
Marketplace to hand over music
to their mates who don't have
a subscription but do have a
Zune. Normally shared music
can only be played three
times.
