First of all, the Xbox 360 is getting a "Virtual console" feature similar to what Nintendo planned for the Revolution, meaning older games (from other platforms) will be downloadable for a small price. The service will be officially announced at E3.

Microsoft has released the third beta version of its Team Foundation Server (TFS) software for application lifecycle management, a Microsoft representative said.
Available to Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) subscribers, the beta release will be feature-complete and is based on the September SQL Server 2005 Community Technology Preview, according to Microsoft. The beta will function with the Visual Studio 2005 Release Candidate made available to MSDN subscribers and attendees of the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference last week.

Microsoft tool 'snarfs' up unwanted e-mail
Microsoft Corp.'s research arm yesterday released a free tool to help users slog through e-mail messages in their inbox in the order of importance, according to one of the researchers who developed the software.
Created within Microsoft Research, the Social Network and Relationship Finder, or SNARF, is an application that uses the same database as a user's e-mail client to count the number of times users send and receive e-mails from people, said A.J. Brush, a researcher in the community technologies group at Microsoft Research.
