While some have questioned the viability of full-length video content on small screens, it appears that Sprint Nextel is concerned with none of that. The wireless provider on Monday launched a new service that will allow its cellular users to view full-length television shows, movies, concerts, and specials.
Sprint has called on MSpot, a California-based mobile entertainment company founded last year, to provide the service. Subscribers with compatible video cell phones will be able to add the feature to their wireless plans for an additional $6.95 uSD per month.

explains in the post, however, that because of advances in the way that we create and use digital video, Microsoft decided to start over from scratch
with Windows Live Movie Maker, including revamping the UI to make use of the śribbonť interface common to Office 2007 applications.

26.02.2007Microsoft cuts apps from Windows 7
Microsoft has decided that Windows 7 won't include built-in programs for e-mail, photo editing, and movie making, as was done with Windows Vista.
The software maker included Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Mail, and Windows Movie Maker as part of Vista, but later chose to offer
separate downloadable Windows Live programs that essentially replaced those components with versions that could connect to online services from
Microsoft and others.

23.09.2008Free video-editing software
Peter Butler: One of the most frequent questions I get from
CNET Download.com users is
"What free software can I use to
edit
video?" If I didn't respond to you personally, it's likely because there's not an easy answer. It depends on what type of video you have, and
what you want to do with it.
Let's start with the basics. If you didn't know, you likely already have
Windows Movie Maker, which was
included with
Windows XP Service Pack 2,
and recently beefed up for Windows Vista.
The XP version of Movie Maker is adequate for putting together clips into larger
videos, adding simple transitions, and making basic edits, but I can't recommend the experience. The
review on CNET Download.com is overly harsh, but it
encapsulates several problems you may encounter.

17.10.2007Windows Scenic: Windows 7s Ribbon-based UI platform
It looks like the much anticipated new user-interface platform for Windows 7 and Windows Live Wave 3 applications is being called “Windows
Scenic”, if the recently available
Windows Live
Wave 3 Movie Maker and
leaked screenshot of Windows
7’s Paint application is any indication. They are both built with one and the same UI framework.
Several months ago
there were indications
Microsoft was working on an
Office 2007 Ribbon-inspired interface for Windows 7 which at the time sounded bizarre and is still today. How it is implemented in
“Scenic” is literally stripping the Ribbon out of Office. In fact so literal Scenic’s DLLs include resources from Office 2007 Beta 2
and the existence of a “Ribbon menu” as noted below...

Microsoft aired its first Windows 7 commercial last night at the 2009 company meeting and across TV stations in the US. Microsoft chose Europe's
final countdown as the theme tune for the advert and also included Kylie from an earlier Windows ad. The music choice could be unintentional or highly
ironic but it shows the company is excited about the countdown to the Windows 7 launch. The ad doesn't focus on any specific Windows 7 features
but highlights some select quotes from the good press surrounding the latest OS. Kylie is seen creating a a Windows Live Movie Maker show from the
quotes. Check out the video below:
