18.04.2009Microsoft updates Windows Marketplace for Mobile
Microsoft announced today that it has made some important changes to its Windows Marketplace for Mobile. Marketplace for Mobile is Microsoft's
Windows Mobile equivalent of the popular Apple iPhone App Store. Marketplace was introduced alongside the new Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system on
October 6, 2009. Currently the Marketplace does not support Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 but Microsoft has confirmed it will extend the service to these
devices "later this month". Microsoft has introduced a wireless sync between the PC and Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile 6.5 owners can now browse,
buy and download applications online at the Windows Marketplace for Mobile site.

11.12.2008Windows Mobile 6.5 to officially launch on May 11
It seems like Windows Mobile 6.5 will be out before we know it. Microsoft previously said that they don't expect it until later in the year, but it
seems they are ahead of schedule. A blog post on the Windows Mobile Team blog confirms that the 6.5 update will officially launch on May 11.
May 11 is also the first say of the Tech Ed Conference, so maybe we will see a final demo of it there. The last demo we saw of it was described
as an alpha, so the gold version should be a real step forward.
Don't be too quick to update though, Microsoft decided to add extra
requirements to the new update like requiring a start menu key, and others to be dedicated to the operating system. Manufacturers are also not
expected to update most devices that are already out, and instead just new decides that roll out.

Microsoft confirmed today that the company will unveil its plans for Windows Mobile 7 at the MIX 2010 conference in March next year. Microsoft Office
Vice President Kurt Delbene confirmed the news at the end of day two at the Professional Developers Conference here in Los Angeles. Little is known
about Windows Mobile 7 except that it has been plagued with delays. Recently Neowin confirmed 1,000 engineers are assigned to Windows Mobile 7 and

Barcelona. The software giant says it will charge a registration fee for developers a $99 a year. Included in this $99 is the ability to
