An independent search engine bug bash gave high marks to Google's bug testers and found that while Bing is buggy, it's also doing a lot of things
right.
A company called
uTest solicited 1,100 software developers and set them loose on the
four major search engines of the day: Google, Yahoo, Bing, and Google's new Caffeine update. Google had the fewest number of bugs and the least
severe bugs among the competition, while Bing amassed the most bugs yet still scored well in the accuracy of its results.

Holy. Cow. Do I ever need some rest. I just spent most of last night figuring out how to get Bonjour (aka mDNS) running on my iPhone. Bonjour offers
configuration-free networking technology. Computers (and iPhones) automagically broadcast their services, which you can then listen for and take
advantage of. This has been a long-term project that Ive been plugging away at for months.
So what makes this exciting? With Bonjour, your
iPhone and touch can talk to your Mac. They can talk to printers or to each other. They can browse for available services or provide their own as a
server. What I put together was a pair of applications: PicSend and PicListen. These apps allow you to subscribe to a camera on another persons
iPhone. Just tell that iPhone to snap a picture and within seconds that picture appears on your own screen.

pizza fueled haze to uncover these very interesting results. In some areas, such as network file copying, Vista SP1 is
dramatically faster -- up to 86%.
Our scenario was a home
user running Vista Home Premium on a fast, low-latency network with decent PC hardware. All file copy tests were initiated from the main machine. Each
system used the latest available vendor (non-Microsoft) drivers and the November release of DirectX. No modifications were made to the operating
system, so as to represent as closely as possible the configuration of an OEM machine.
We asked Microsoft why this was and they provided a
very detailed technical explanation.

05.03.2008First Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Review
I'm pretty sure this
is the first online review of
Twilight Princess, but feel
free to tell me if I'm wrong
on this one.
Gamespy's Bryn Williams
had the privilege of playing
through about 35 hours of
Twilight Princess in
a (as he put it)
"caffeine-fueled anarchy"
rampage, and then tells us how
he thinks of the game. I
wonder if he liked the game or
not? Here is a small portion
of the review:
So
essentially, what you're
playing is a port of the
GameCube version of Twilight
Princess that's been retooled
for the Wii. The biggest
difference is of course the
addition of the new
motion-sensitive control
scheme. I'm happy to report
that the Wii Remote and the
Nunchuk do an incredibly
admirable job of making the
game a lot of fun to play. In
fact, I'd go as far as to say
that this is a preferable
method of controlling the game
than a regular joypad.
Movement, exploration and
combat are highly accurate and
if you fail or die, it's not
the system's fault, but
rather your own. I know this
has been the biggest concern
for many Zelda lovers and
gamers in general, but I
can't overstate this enough
-- the Wii makes for a superb
Zelda gaming
experience.
Twilight Princess is
a great-looking game. On one
hand, it has its graphical
problems stemming from the
GameCube development cycle
(blurry textures,
comparatively low-res
characters, etc.), but the
artistic direction more than
makes up for these issues. I
ended up playing through about
75 percent of the game using
the standard composite cables
that ship with the Wii, until
I managed to snag some
component cables towards the
end. The difference in
quality, clarity and imagery
between the quite frankly
subpar composite signal and
the sexy 480p component signal
was night and day. A sharper,
more vibrant image enhanced
the game experience
significantly, so if you have
the means, I highly recommend
using component
input.
Needless to say Mr.
Williams enjoyed the game.
According to him Twilight
Princess is an absolute
classic that pays homage to
Ocarina of Time and to the
entire Zelda legacy. I guess
the Nintendo Wii really does
have its first killer app

about the changes in the Windows 7 beta 1 license agreement. Adrian Kingsley-Hughes from ZDnet has benchmarked Windows 7 with its successors Windows
Vista and Windows XP. The Windows 7 build 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400 was considered for testing. Since its 32bit, it was tested against 32bit versions of
Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3.
