Windows 7 Beta 1 6.1.7000.0 - 7000.0.081212-1400 Screenshot and ISO Details
Looks like the rumor that Windows 7 Beta 1 will have build version of 7000 has some truth in it, or at least the build version 6.1.7000.0 of Windows 7 does exist. Microsoft has silently made available download of Windows 7 Beta 1 DVD ISO image to selected people, independent of the Windows 7 beta participation invite.

27.12.2008Disappearance Of Vista Language Packs
On Friday 24 August, an internal process change inadvertently caused the current versions of the Windows Vista language packs offered as Ultimate
Extras to be withdrawn earlier than normal in preparation for release of new updates to these language packs. This situation has since been resolved
and the language packs are once more available to Windows Vista Ultimate customers via Windows Update. The content of the language packs themselves
has not been changed.
Finer points:
▪ Validation of these language packs is handled in the
same manner as security updates.
▪ If they are accessed directly from Microsoft.com Download Center, then validation is required to
download.
▪ If they are accessed via the Windows Update control panel, then validation is required before updates will appear.
▪ If Automatic Update (AU) is enabled in Windows Update, then all of these updates will install automatically. There is no validation on AU.

08.01.2009Review: Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 7000
In the market for a new wireless keyboard and mouse, looking to upgrade from my Microsoft Digital Pro Keyboard, I took a lot at Microsoft's

keyboard that has a slight bend in the keys to make the feel of typing more comfortable to the user. The keyboard has a small 6 degree bend in the
design to help improve typing from the average angle of a users shoulder to keyboard.

20.02.2009MISSING: Vista Ultimate Language Packs
If you thought the Ultimate Extras situation couldnt get any worse, then you have much to learn young Jedi, because rock bottom is only an illusion.
It appears that what was left of the Ultimate Extras - 16 language packs (I know, they are counted as extras) - have now been sucked into the void of
unknown.
Whether this is a widespread technical glitch or intentional symptom as a result of upgrades to the backend in
preparations for more and better Ultimate Extras remains to be speculated. Even if all my moneys on a technical glitch, there is still a quantum
chance the Ultimate Extras team will deliver on their latest promise to ship the final version of DreamScenes and the remaining 20 Language Packs
before the śend of summerť (September).
However for those of you who are in need of their language śfixť, a Channel9 member has
kindly posted the language pack

21.12.2006Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 Review
In four words, Microsoft describes their latest desktop mouse as comfortable, wireless, rechargeable, and extraordinary. Has Microsoft ever been
wrong?
Even the editors at ExtremeTech who prefer the horsepower of gaming mice couldn't help but humble themselves and like this
desktop rodent. They attribute much of the 7000's success to its comfortable design and long feature set (buttons, software hacks, etc.). Sadly,
the mouse is for righties only, so southpaws will still have to stick with their symmetrical mouse in the meantime.

08.09.2007Warning: Windows 7 beta could corrupt your MP3s
Several reports from users using the latest leaked build of Windows 7 indicate a potential data corruption issue using Microsoft's Windows Media
Player 12. Windows 7 beta 1 build 7000 leaked over the Christmas holidays and a Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed that there is a bug which
affects the leaked build. Approximately 2-3 seconds will get shaved off the beginning of MP3s if you have set your Windows Media Player 12 settings to
retrieve information from the internet and update files. The default configuration for WMP12 sets this if you use the "express" option during setup.
"The problem only happens when you edit metadata on a certain class of MP3 file (a file with a header larger than 16KB).
