customers get Ultimate Extras Pearl and Glass sound schemes and additional Windows DreamScene Content.
For those who have been waiting for

Facebook announced that starting today developers will be able to access users content from the main home page, also known as your "Stream" API.
With this open source API, developers will be able to customize and manipulate a users stream information, such as your friends new images, updates
and more. On Facebook's developer blog, the crew announced it will be opening new API called stream.get and stream.publish and new FQL tables
that will allow you to access your stream. Developers can use this new API to make a fully functional desktop client for your Facebook account that
will allow you to share what's on your mind, make comments and "likes" to posts in your stream.

Remaining Ultimate Extra Language Packs Released

Today sees the launch of Windows 7 in New York City. Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO will be donning the stage shortly to introduce Windows 7 to the
world. There will be a live stream available (embedded below) and proceedings will begin at 11am NY time (see other time zones). Meanwhile the people
of London have been queuing this morning to purchase Windows 7 at a PC World store. Microsoft originally downplayed the idea of queues for the launch
but it seems the popular offers in the UK are drawing people out to purchase Windows 7. PC World is offering up to £100 off a new laptop with

AMD: Conesus netbook platform, Fusion delay, new ATI Stream
Engadget has received a slew of news regarding the current state of AMD. In the first half of 2009, AMD will roll out it's new Conesus netbook
platform. Hoping to compete with Intel's Atom, it comes in 45nm dual-core only, with support for DDR2 RAM and 1MB of cache. Also announced is
ATI's new Stream brand. Stream is all about GPU computing, or using your computer's graphics processor to perform tasks other than graphics
work. The Stream brand combines several of ATI's technologies into one umbrella term to help consumers and enterprises understand the technologies
better. Stream support will be coming in the next Catalyst update in December.

Ultimate Extras, Where are you?
It has been over three months
since we last saw anything
from the Ultimate Extra team.
Intially this was offered by
Microsoft as one of the big
value adds to the Ultimate
version of Windows Vista, but
to date I can't say they have
delivered that much value.
DreamScene was sweet but
lasted only a few hours,
Holdem was fun again only a
half usable thing since it
wasn't network capable, the
Bitlocker tool was useful for
some....
So what is
up guys, have you gone on an
extended vacation? Are we not
going to see any more Extras?
Is Microsoft out of ideas for
what to offer? Anyone else
disappointed in this so far?

Windows DreamScene coming soon on Ultimate
Windows Vista Ultimate users
began to receive the first set
of "Ultimate Extras". But
arguably the most anticipated
Ultimate Extra was not there
-- Windows DreamScene.
Windows client
director, Jeff Putt has
confirmed that this extra will
not be available in its final
form immediately after launch.
However, a technology preview
may be coming soon for Windows
Vista Ultimate users who want
to give it a try.
Windows DreamScene enables
users to use looping
high-definition video content
(MPEG, WMV) as an animated
wallpaper. Thanks to the new
3D accelerated desktop in
Windows Vista, the animated
wallpaper uses virtually no
CPU (just a little for
decoding the video).
Microsoft demonstrated
Windows DreamScene yesterday
at the launch event which
showed Windows DreamScene
using an animated wallpaper
created by Stardock
. The wallpaper they showed
will be available exclusively
at Neowin.net's partner site,
WinCustomize
.com, in February.
