The internet has come a long way since Microsoft licensed SpyGlass technology to use as the basis of its first browser in 1995. Before the dawn of Firefox, Opera, Safari and the rest of the alternatives, users were stuck with two choices. Use the browser that came bundled with their operating system, or download Netscape and hope for the best.
