12.12.2008VIA announces PadLock RSA module for Microsoft Windows
VIA has announced the VIA
PadLock RSA Module, which
utilizes the strength and
speed of the VIA PadLock
Security Engine integrated
into all VIA C7 family
processors, to accelerate
public key encryption such as
RSA used in Microsoft Windows
operating systems.
Designed to help in the
fight against Internet fraud,
the VIA PadLock RSA Module
works by accelerating the
process of public key
authentication in Microsoft
applications, thereby enabling
users to utilize longer
authentication keys, making it
more difficult for computer
criminals to break and so
enhancing security in a wide
range of Internet and network
applications, such as online
banking and e-commerce, says
VIA. The VIA PadLock RSA
Module works in PCs running
Windows Vista, Windows XP, or
Windows 2000 Professional, as
well as servers with Windows
Server "Longhorn", Windows
Server 2003, or Windows 2000
Server, the company adds.
Once installed, all
Microsoft applications which
use RSA as standard or the
default CSP (cryptographic
service provider) can utilize
the VIA PadLock RSA Module to
offload some of the public key
encryption process to the VIA
PadLock Security Engine, a
hardware security engine
integrated into VIA C7
processors, accelerating the
process by as much as 275%,
claims VIA.

09.02.2007Microsoft's Vista 'Family Discount' Troubles
In the past, early adopters of
new Windows versions have had
some small hurdles to
overcome. Such hurdles may be
software incompatibility, or
lack of driver support. These
sorts of things are almost
expected with each new Windows
launch. But what would you do
if you bought Windows Vista
and your product key didn't

solution and was unwilling to
issue you a new key?
Many (if not all)
users who took advantage of
Microsoft's Vista Family
Discount have been issued
invalid installation keys and

confirms that the keys are
indeed valid, but not for
Windows Vista. The CSR I spoke

the key was for, but it did

manager. When asked what could
be done I was told, I can take
your name and number and call
you back when there is a
solution. If that is not
acceptable, I can cancel your
order and issue you a refund.
I was also told, There is no

Microsoft may not have enabled this by default because of potential hardware issues, but that doesnt make sense because the minimum video card

the company's most serious

leverage one of the six IE

"critical" in IE6 on Windows

"critical" in IE7 on both XP

The launch of Windows 7 on October 22 is unlikely to cause any significant damage to Mac sales, according to Wall Street analyst Brian Marshall of

sales trends of Macintosh computers around the times of the launches of Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. In every case, except
for the launch of Windows 2000, Marshall found that Mac sales either remained stable or in fact increased. Upon the launch of Windows Vista, Mac sales
increased by a higher percentage than after any other Windows launch to date.

13.10.2009Official Way to Use Vista without Activation 120 Days

By default,
Windows Vista can be

for 30 days grace period, for
purpose of trial or

initially stressed that users

However, a "rearm" method

a violation of the Vista End

All versions of Vista include
