New WGA Update to Detect and Nuke Windows Vista SoftMod Activation Crack
Microsoft has decided to tighten the grip on ability for pirates and crackers to crack and bypass Windows Vista activation scheme, by releasing an WGA update to Windows Vista Ultimate Edition based system that will detect the presence of SoftMod hack activation exploit, which is currently been pioneered by Vista Loader. However, it’s unclear if the WGA technology update will indeed detect both SoftMod and Vista Loader, or just SoftMod activation crack, which is the predecessor version to much enhanced Vista Loader.

The good news for consumers is that Apple, Microsoft and Google will
all be competing to provide the best mobile phone and web services at the lowest price. Well, on second thought, Apple may not be competing directly
on price but their product will invariably look better and have a rewarding user experience. We're sure there will be something for everyone and
we'll all be happy so long as the customer has choices. Clearly, there will be at least three.

Over the weekend T-Mobile and Microsoft Danger confirmed a huge outage on its Sidekick devices. In a statement issued to customers T-Mobile confirmed
"we must now inform you that personal information stored on your device - such as contacts, calendar entries, to-do lists or photos - that is no
longer on your Sidekick almost certainly has been lost as a result of a server failure at Microsoft/Danger." According to some reports, the failure
was due to a SAN (Storage Area Network) gone wrong at Microsoft's end. It is claimed that Microsoft does not have a working backup of some of the
data that has gone missing from customers devices.

An Update For Windows Update
An infrastructure update has been planned for Windows Update client. The gradual roll-out of this update will begin in late July. This update will
occur automatically to any system configured to either receive updates “automatically” or “notify” customers that new updates
are available for download.
For enterprise customers who use Windows Server Update Services or Systems Management Server, all updating,
including the WU client, is controlled by the network administrators, who have authority over the download and install experience. Windows Vista
customers who select “never check for updates” in their WU settings will not receive this update until they manually install updates from
Windows Update.
In this particular update, there will not make any changes to the way WU looks or feels, instead the following have been
improved:
- The length of time it takes Windows Update to scan for updates
- The speed in which signature updates will be delivered

It looks like Microsoft has posted the final Vista SP1 bits to their OEM site which is accessible to anyone that registers. The file is a 1.13GB .img which combines the 32-bit and 64-bit update
executables into one image:
Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) is now available for download. Windows Vista SP1 will deliver
improvements and enhancements to existing features that significantly impact customers, but it does not deliver substantial new operating system
features.
Download Windows Vista SP1 here. The download contains Window Vista SP1 for five languages: English, French, German,
Japanese, and Spanish. Note Additional languages will be available soon.
Once you download the Windows Vista SP1 package, you
will need to extract the appropriate .exe file for the language you wish to install.

yesterday. As you know, Office 2007 SP1 was released yesterday to Microsoft Update, and to WSUS as part of the Tues, Dec 11th release.
As planned, Office 2007 SP1 was not pushed via Automatic Updates. There has been some confusion where Windows Vista customers are seeing
Office 2007 SP1 listed as available with an option to install in their Windows Update control panel applet. The new Vista experience of the Windows
Update applet combines the convenience of the Microsoft Update site, by isting all applicable available updates, and the best of the Automatic

Windows Update spoof allows early download of Vista SP1
Ever since Vista was released, there has been discussion of when Microsoft would deliver SP1, and whether or not that delivery would be a significant
milestone in the OSs development. Microsoft has downplayed the importance of Vista service packs for months, arguing that Vista is "high quality
right out of the gate," but in the eyes of many businesses and consumers, the release of an operating systems first service pack is the point at
which the product begins to shift from "early release" to "mature product."
Microsoft has released Vistas SP1 to a
group of select beta testers, but a Windows Update spoof has been discovered that allows any user to unofficially "join" that group.
CyberNet News reports (via Ghacks) that a simple registry change will display Windows Vista SP1 as an available update ready for download.
Installation of the beta will place an "Evaluation" watermark on the screen, but Ghacks has information on removing this as well. We dont
recommend doing this on your main system—the service pack is still in beta, after all—but its potentially useful as an early preview tool
for anyone who can load Vista on a secondary system or test rig.
