Download new AOL Next-Generation AIM
AOL's next-generation AIM release, known as Triton, is officially out the door and replaces AIM 5.9 as the company's default instant messaging client. Triton aims to bring together text, voice and video chat and has become the veritable front door to AOL's services.
The new release features one-click access to AOL Explorer, Search, AOL and AIM Mail, AIM Talk and the new TotalTalk VoIP calling service. Triton additionally bundles a new AIM Address Book that syncs with Plaxo, and offers built-in access to AOL Radio featuring 20 XM music stations.

Inquirer announced that
Windows Mobile will be changing its name to "Windows Phone". Microsoft confirmed the Windows Phone branding to Betanews today,
but said that "Windows Mobile" is not going anywhere.

started using the term, Windows Phone,
within the industry at Mobile World Congress on February 16, 2009," a spokesman noted today. "It is a simple way for consumers to identify the new

Glad that Microsoft is upgrading their mobile browser and not delaying it further. Microsoft had decided earlier that IE Mobile 6 will not be made

so new, the aging mobile OS from Redmond can tend to feel dated and unintuitive. Sometimes it's enough to make you question what you did so wrong
to be deserving of such frustration. Here's the catch, though: I love Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile is just like most other software products
that Microsoft produces. The out of box experience is anything less than extraordinary. If the iPhone "just works", then a standard Windows Mobile
installation just makes you want to put your head through a wall.
