MailNation Solutions developed after years of exhaustive competition in the Emailing industry. Small email companies have come and go, while large email companies such as Gmail (R), Hotmail (R), and Yahoo! Mail (R) have dominated. Privacy policies with major companies are weak, reliability remains questioned, and features are lacking.

22.3.2007Eisner's advice to striking writers: Blame Steve Jobs, not the studios
In his keynote speech on Wednesday morning at the Media and Money conference hosted by Dow Jones and Nielsen, former Disney CEO
Michael Eisner talked about
writers as though they were a minority group that he didn't particularly understand well. "I like writers. Some of my best friends are writers," he
said as though attempting to save face. But nevertheless, his foremost epithet for the
ongoing Writer's Guild of America strike was "stupid."
"I see stupid strikes, and I see less stupid
strikes. I see smart strikes," Eisner said in the keynote, which was structured as a conversation with Neil P. Cavuto, senior vice president and
managing editor of Fox Business News. "This is a stupid strike."
The problem, Eisner said, is that the Writer's Guild is
lobbying for a bigger cut of the profits from digital distribution--and according to the former Disney chief, those profits simply aren't there.
Eisner, now the head of a private investment firm called The Tornante Company, has
launched an online video studio
called
Vuguru, and said that it's still more or less a fruitless labor. Vuguru's debut
series, a serial mystery called Prom Queen, "didn't make money," he said.

07.11.2007Ballmer attacks Google for reading your email
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has attacked Google's business model, claiming that reading customers' email doesn't work.
Ballmer, who was speaking to an audience in the UK, claims making money from email services is very difficult.
"Our Windows
Live Hotmail doesn't generate much ad revenue, so we've had to put a portal around it, because the traffic it brings is very valuable, but it's not
very easily monetised," he claims.
He then launched an attack on Google, claiming its business model of selling advertising
based around the content of email is flawed. "Google's had the same experience, even though it reads your email and we don't."

11.06.2009Undo send email in Gmail
Many times we forget to add attachments, notice a spelling mistake or forgot to add something in the email. New in Google Labs is an add-on to your
account that can undo the email you just sent, with a limit of five seconds, allowing you to go back and re-edit the email you previously just sent.
Once the add-on is enabled under your Gmail settings, Labs and Undo Send, users will be promoted with an "Undo" button after sending an email,
giving them just enough time to prevent regrettable emails. If users opt to undo the email they had just sent, they will be taken back to the email
where edits can be made.

Late yesterday it was reported that the email system for the White House was offline and there was no estimated time until it would be back up.
"Press Secretary Robert Gibbs announced the technical snafu at his 1:30 p.m. briefing, apologizing to the media for the e-mail silence this
afternoon." It appears that it was a server overload as the new administration was migrating their transition email over to the official White House
email servers. The outage affects both incoming and outgoing emails. The server being knocked offline is probably not a coincidence after the Obama
staff complained that the technology was archaic.

vice versa, it'll happen the instant an email arrives. The email that this is based on has to be enterprise based, however.

Neowin Back Page News that Microsoft is requesting beta testers

Judging from the survey itself, Microsoft could be looking to test out new games on an array of devices, including the PC, Xbox, and even Zunes and
mobile phones. No guarantees, of course, but this looks like it'll turn out some interesting results. Click "Read More" for more info and a copy

07.02.2008How to Connect Your Email Address to Your OpenID Account
OpenID is an excellent solution for establishing a single identity for all your online accounts, but many people haven’t even tried it yet. For
some, the concept of using a URL address for a login ID instead of the traditional email address is still completely foreign.
However,
Email to ID could be what the doctor ordered and what these creatures of habits
need. It could also be what OpenID needs in order to expedite wide-spread acceptance as the single sign on identity standard. You can now link your
email address (or several of them) to your OpenID and then use that email address (any of them) to log into any online service that supports it! The
beauty rests in the simplicity of it all. Best of all, it’s all free and easy to do.

01.10.2008Spam accounts for nearly 95 per cent of email
Spam email accounted for between 90 and 95 per cent of all email in 2007, up from an estimated five per cent of email in 2001, according to a report
from web security company Barracuda Networks.
The report, which analysed more than one billion daily email messages sent to more than
50,000 users worldwide, also tracked the increasing complexity of spam techniques over the past several years. 2007 witnessed the majority of spammers
using identity obfuscation techniques, in which spammers send email from diverse sources throughout the internet. Other spamming trends also include
the increased the use of attachments, including as PDF files and other file formats.

13.12.2007Microsoft in row over lobby tactics
Microsoft is at the centre of an embarrassing row over an attempt by a lobby firm strongly linked with the Seattle computer giant to rally opposition
against rival Google's proposed acqusition of internet marketing firm DoubleClick.
The Observer has seen an email sent by a
director at leading lobby firm Burson-Marsteller to a number of top UK businesses. The email urges board members to raise the issue of Google's
dominance of search engines with politicians, regulators and the media.
The email asks companies to join a new organisation -
Initiative for Competitive Online Marketplaces - which in the next few weeks will make a series of announcements on Google, internet privacy and
copyright.
The email's author is Jonathan Dinkeldein, a director of B-M. He admitted the firm was working with Microsoft on the
initiative. A spokeswoman for Microsoft agreed that the firm has an 'ongoing relationship with Burson-Marsteller' but said it is not lobbying for
Microsoft.

12.08.2008Boxed copies of Money Plus to stop being sold
Microsoft has decided against releasing a 2009 version of Money Plus, its personal-finance-management software. The company also is planning to
discontinue selling Money Plus as a boxed software product at retail — but insisted the move shouldn't be interpreted as an immediate move away from
shrink-wrapped PC software.
Microsoft had been releasing each year a new version of its
Money Plus product. A new version was due out this fall, in fact. But
according to a blog posting on August 6 to the public Microsoft Money forum by Most Valuable Professional Bob Peel, Microsoft feels annual updates
with only incremental improvements are no longer needed.

enterprises, such as Google Apps or Yahoo!'s Zimbra. In the report, Forrester argues that cloud-based email services are cheaper than running email
on-premise for all companies with less than 15,000 employees. What's more, Google Apps is significantly cheaper than both on-premise solutions
and other cloud-based email services - even for very large enterprises. This could spell trouble for Microsoft, as we explain below...
