Sprint Unveils Movie Download Service

While some have questioned the viability of full-length video content on small screens, it appears that Sprint Nextel is concerned with none of that. Google's Gmail experiencing web outage

Visitors to Google's Gmail service are being greeted with server errors when trying to access their mail accounts this morning. It's not yet known what the exact issue is but Gmail officials have confirmed they are aware of the web outage and the company is "trying to fix it asap". Google Search is currently unaffected. Many users are reporting IMAP services and POP3 services seem to be unaffected. This is the second outage to hit Google in a month. Late January the Google Search service was offline for up to 1hr when a human error marked all search results as malicious.

After the widespread Gmail outage yesterday users were hit by a phishing attack over the Gtalk chat client. "The malicious message spread via the Google Talk instant messaging chat system, urging users to a video by clicking on a link connected via the TinyURL service. When users entered their credentials the information would be logged and the email account would be compromised. Skype Hit by Major Outage, Downloads Disabled

Skype suffered a major outage early Thursday morning in what is being characterized as a "software issue" related to users logging into the service. Engineers say it will take them 12 to 24 hours to fix the problem, and in the meantime have disabled all downloads of the Skype client.
