31.01.2009Windows 7 moves toward August 2009 RTM
Cnet has come up with a report saying that Microsoft is set to release Windows 7 by the end of this year's holiday shopping season based on PC
industry sources in Asia and the U.S. According to the ZDNet Taiwan site, Taiwan hardware vendors are certain about Windows 7's final official
release in 2009. As pointed out by some computer manufacturers, the official version of Windows 7 will be available ahead of the planned schedule,
that is before October this year. The English version of the OS will be available to system operators in August, and the Chinese version in October.
Microsoft will officially pre-market Windows 7 now by labeling Windows Vista computers with Windows 7 ready stickers.

13.02.2009Windows 7 Release Candidate goes public... Oops
Tired of waiting for Microsoft to release the first (and likely only) release candidate of Windows 7? No worries, you can go and snatch it up now...
via torrents. Earlier today, build 7100 of Windows 7, the official Release Candidate build, leaked to the public.
While no new visual
elements stand out from previous builds, UI changes should no longer be expected this late in the game. Any changes from this point on will be, for
the most part, behind the scenes. One notable change however is Microsoft's decision to revert back to the previous active tile design for the
taskbar, as found in build 7068, as it no longer features the white hazy glow behind the icon.
The official release date of Windows 7 RC
is expected to be May 5th for the public, and slightly earlier for TechNet and MSDN subscribers.
Have you found anything new in this
build? Share it with us in our community forums...
Update: Microsoft now says the RC will be available to TechNet and MSDN subscribers on
April 30th.

25.04.2009Acer says that Windows 7 will be available October 23, 2009

that any Vista based PC purchased 30 days prior will receive a free upgrade to Windows 7. While we still don't have an official release date
from Microsoft yet, and even though there has been an internal release date of January 30, 2010 set, rumors have been flying around saying that
Windows 7 may be released sometime later this year. With the public release of the release candidate right around the corner, and development towards
the RTM already on track, it's possible that Acer's release date could be true.

27.11.2007Could Windows 7 Ship on Back-to-School PCs?
Microsoft plans to make Windows 7 Release Candidate available to testers this week. The timing puts Microsoft within striking distance of a late June,
