Yesterday, Microsoft announced the public beta of the Office 2010 family of products at the SharePoint conference, which is currently in progress in
Las Vegas. The public beta of Office SharePoint server is due to begin in November, alongside the public beta of Microsoft Office 2010. Microsoft has
said that Office 2010, Project 2010, Visio 2010, and SharePoint Server 2010 will be available for public testing during November, and will be free to

testing site. The bits hold the build number 14.0.4006.1110 meaning they are older than the recent "beta" leak. Yesterday Microsoft unveiled Office
2010 and Office Web Applications 2010 at the company's annual Worldwide Partner Conference. It's widely expected that Microsoft will offer a
public beta to customers in late August. In an email to potential testers Microsoft noted that on "Microsoft Connect, you will find downloads

Two days from now Microsoft will remove the Windows 7 Release Candidate from their website. If you want to test out Windows 7 for free, then you will
need to download this before the 20th August, 2009. Windows 7 users who are currently on the release candidate will not have to worry until March 1,
2010 and June 1, 2010 when bi-hourly shutdowns and license expiration's will begin. Alternatively, if you want to get your hands on the final
release now, Windows 7 RTM is now available to Technet Plus and MSDN subscribers.

Company officials have posted several "what's new" videos onto the Microsoft Showcase site. The what's new videos range from Word through to
Outlook and some highlight the Web Applications and "Microsoft Mobile 2010". Office Web Applications 2010 In the what's new video for Office

A new build of Office 2010 has surfaced around the web, identifying itself as "Microsoft Office 2010 Build 4417". The build is not a huge difference
but offers small improvements and more stability over the previously leaked Mondo builds which were plauged with problems. The most notable new
feature is that Back-Stage view has been altered and enhanced alot more and looks like it's almost finished. There's a new upload center to
store and share documents online - perhaps through live mesh - or it could be the Office Web Applications/Office Live Workspaces.

Neowin already reported that Office 2010 Beta 1 due in early July will not be available for public testing. Now Microsoft has confirmed that it will
indeed not release a public beta of Office 2010 for testing, to the general public and will limit the Technical Preview to a group of thousands of
invite-only users starting in the third quarter of 2009. The second beta is due in early November and it is not clear whether Microsoft will open it
to the general public. "The technology preview, as Microsoft will call the beta program, will involve 'thousands of users'. At this point

Microsoft's highly anticipated Office 2010 beta suite has leaked this week on peer-to-peer file sharing networks. The build, numbered version
14.0.4514.1009, is tagged with the "beta 2" naming. The leak reportedly requires keys to install but accepts Office 2010 Technical Preview keys.
Michael Aulia of Craving Tech posted some screen shots and his initial impressions after Microsoft sent him the beta directly. From the screen shots
posted it's clear the UI has been refined in the Office 2010 beta and the program icons have been updated. It's widely expected that a public
