My trip to Singapore threw me off of my schedule a bit and I missed the official announcements for the new Nokia N79 and Nokia N85 that were made yesterday, along with the announcement that the N96 would be coming to the U.S. to support our 3G networks (actually AT&T only at the moment) in the 4th quarter of 2008.
When the specs of Nokia N96 were first leaked to the net, I thought it was a pretty boring phone.
Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo told attendees of the Nokia World 2006 Conference that Internet functionality will be the driving force in the next phase of mobile phone industry growth.
Perhaps no other cell phone in history has been as anticipated as Apple's iPhone. From the moment it was announced by Apple to the time it was released six months later, the cell phone was a constant topic of rumors and speculation.
Finnish fone fabricator Nokia has now begun shipping its updated N95 mobile phone. Thanks to myhouse for this news.
Fully aware that its own developed Symbian operating system is not a perfect one, Nokia offers users devices with its newly launched S40 5th Edition.
Nokia on Tuesday rolled out its N97, a high-end smartphone with a 3.5 inch touch display, QWERTY keyboard and social location software to allow people to use Facebook, MySpace and other sites on the go.
According to Engadget, Nokia's most powerful handset, the Nokia N97, will be hitting flagship stores in New York and Chicago.
In perhaps an unsurprising turn of events the telecommunications giant Nokia have squashed rumours regarding their rumoured move to the Android platform.
I enjoy using the Nokia N810 device from time to time to surf, use some old Palm apps with GarnetVM, and watch movies. I do find it to be a bit laggy at times though so it isn’t always with me. MobileCrunch posted some rumored news on the next Nokia Internet Tablet referred to as the N900, Rover, and Maemo Flagship.
The Finnish phone maker is expected Tuesday to take the lid off the two newest additions to its N-Series line of smart phones...
The new N85 and N79 smartphones for European high-speed mobile networks will be followed by a North American edition of the N96. Each will offer a 5
Mp camera with Zeiss optics, integrated turn-by-turn GPS navigation, and N-Gage gaming...
Nokia, the world's No. 1

had been reported. It also
clarified that there were
multiple manufacturers of this
battery and only those by

cost to the company is
expected to be around $100
million, and the supplier will
likely bear some of the
costs.

03.11.2005Nokia To Invest In Facebook?
It looks like Europe is in love with Facebook…First the Samwer Brothers invested in the company, and now reports that Nokia is joining the
round, too. Paid Content is quoting sources that claim that Facebook and Nokia may be close to a deal which sees Facebook offered on Nokia phones as a
default and in return Nokia may take a stake in Facebook.
On the content side, offering a Nokia mobile specific version of Facebook will be
a positive in driving Facebook use on the mobile web. MySpace has gone down the path of carrier deals, where as a Facebook/ Nokia deal would be
carrier agnostic, and given that Nokia is still the largest cell phone provider worldwide the deal would spread Facebook into new markets.

09.02.2007Nokia says 46 million batteries may overheat
Nokia Corp. is offering to
replace 46 million batteries
manufactured by another
company for use in its mobile
phones because of a risk of
overheating, Nokia said on
Tuesday.
The faulty batteries were
manufactured by Japan's
Matsushita Battery Industrial
Co. and sold in a wide range
of Nokia phones, from its
low-end 1100 family of
products up to its pricier N91
and E60 devices.
Nokia said that in
"very rare cases" a short
circuit can cause the
Nokia-branded BL-5C batteries
to overheat while they are
being recharged. The company
said it knows of about 100
incidents so far but said that
no serious injuries or
property damage have been
reported.
People concerned about the
problem can get their battery
replaced for free, Nokia said.
It set up a
Web page
that lists the phone models
and describes how customers
can check if their battery is
affected. ..

Nokia, which
makes more than one in three
