NOD32 2.70.23

ESET NOD32 Antivirus offers superior, comprehensive protection, the fastest scanning throughput, and the least performance impact of any solution. Keep your important information safe & stay productive with peace of mind. Running separate applications for viruses, hackers, adware, and spyware can slow your PC, be difficult to manage, and provide questionable protection. Beware of large, bloated internet security suites that consume hundreds of megabytes on your PC. These typically exist because vendors have acquired products and 'bundled' them together. In contrast, ESET NOD32 was designed from the core as a single, highly-optimized engine that works as a unified Anti-Threat system to protect against a broad spectrum of malware. Viruses, worms, spyware, and other malicious attacks, which are constantly evolving. ESET NOD32 utilizes patent-pending ThreatSense Technology to detect tomorrow's threats in real-time, by analyzing code execution for malicious intent - keeping you ahead of the malware-writers.

Currently limited only to Australians, owners of anti-virus suites from other vendors (ex. Norton, McAfee) will be offered a free cross-grade license of the upcoming ESET Smart Security software equal to the remainder of their current license term (with maximum of 1 year). Official Way to Use Vista without Activation 120 Days

Official Way to Install and Use Windows Vista without Activation for Free for 120 Days

By default, Windows Vista can be installed, used and run without any license, product key or the need of activation for 30 days grace period, for purpose of trial or evaluation. Although Microsoft initially stressed that users should purchase a license with valid product key before the trial period expires, or else Windows Vista will lock into Reduced Functionality Mode. However, a "rearm" method has long since been discovered to be able to extend, or reset the remaining time for activation to another fresh 30 days, for up to 3 times.

Now Microsoft has confirmed that Windows Vista can be used and run for 120 days or 4 months ( 3 rearms ), and extending the activation grace period is not a violation of the Vista End User License Agreement (EULA). All versions of Vista include Windows Vista Ultimate allow a 30-day free period without activation, except the corporate-oriented Vista Enterprise, which supports only a three-day trial.

Google Makes FeedBurner MyBrand Free

Google is about making things accessible to everyone and one of the way to make this happen is to buy a service or software that used to cost money and release it for free.

Google did this with Keyhole (now Google Earth), Picasa, SketchUp (only a limited version is free), Blogger PRO and one would expect the same for FeedBurner PRO.

According to UnderGoogle, the first visible effect of the FeedBu rner acquisition is that you can use the advanced features of FeedBurner for free, but only in a 15 -day trial: reach (the unique number of people who view or click your feed posts) and stats for individual posts. Just go to "FeedBurner stats" and enable the features that used to be inaccessible until today if you didn't want to pay $5 a month for a subscription. Unfortunately, you still have to pay to have them after the short trial ends...

The Pirate Bay trial, '80% of our torrents are legal'

The ongoing trial for The Pirate Bay is attracting international attention over the court case that could change the internet forever. Neowin has been keeping up with the trial and the latest argument from TPB ( The Pirate Bay) is that "n internal survey revealed that 80% of 1000 torrents observed are, in fact, legal". Sunde, the spokes person for TPB, went on to argue that there is more copyrighted material on YouTube than on TPB. The prosecutors are also trying to establish that a hierarchy does exist at TPB but appear to be failing at solidifying their case. "Someone must ultimately decide whether to put up a certain text or graphic," asked Roswall. "No," Neij replied. "Why?
