30.04.2009Halo 3 set for release on September 25, 2007
We said Fall 2007, but
did you expect Halo 3’s
release date to be just two

September 25, 2007 (just two
days after the Autumnal
Equinox), players will be able
to finish the fight they
started in Halo: Combat
Evolved and continued in Halo
2. Halo 3 will release in
Europe on September 26, 2007.

slightly depending on local

What does a release
date mean to the team, aside
from a concrete date when
folks can go home to their
wives and children? I chatted

a release date affects Bungie.
Q: Jonty,

point in the project all the
hard-planned scheduling time

16.05.2007Windows Live Messenger Release
on June 19?
Quote from the
LiveSide:
The release date
for Windows Live Messenger has
been debated on the internet
and across the blogs for the
past few weeks. First, it was
reported by WinFuture that
Live Messenger would be
released on Friday, June 16th.
Later, they retracted their
projected release date and
proclaimed that the release
had been delayed. Well, now we
have another entry into the
the release date
speculation.
Lapytsh is now reporting
that Windows Live Messenger
will be released on Monday,
June 19th. The actual post is
in French, but it reports that
Microsoft plans to have their
internal launch party for WL
Messenger on the 19th.
As we've told you
many times before, we do not
necessarily like to predict
release dates as they can slip
at a moment's notice, so take
this with a little bit of
caution. Here's to hoping
that we see the release on the
19th!

15.06.2006Windows 7 ship date? The crowd has spoken¦
Ed Bott: Last month, I kicked off the

29.08.2007Why Windows 7 will be out later this year
With the public Windows 7 release candidate right around the corner, and development towards the RTM on track, people are wondering "When is the
final release date for Windows 7?" With many dates flying around, I personally think that Windows 7 will be out later this year, and here's why:
First, let's back up a bit. Microsoft has set an internal date of January, 2010, approximately 3 years after Vista. Now let's say for the sake
of argument that turns out to be true. This would be a big mistake for Microsoft because they'll miss the crucial holiday season, when obviously
people will be buying new computers and software, and we all remember how badly Vista's release went.

01.05.2009Exclusive: Windows 7 RC set for April 10, 2009
There have been so many dates flying around concerning the upcoming Release Candidate for Windows 7, and it's beginning to become a daily subject
in the blogosphere. Just when you thought that we were going to see a Windows 7 RC by the end of February, a trusted source within Microsoft has
informed Neowin that the RC will not be ready by the end of February. At this time, Windows 7 RC is internally being tested and the official release
date is set for April 10, 2009. The Windows team is right on schedule with development, and if there are no significant problems over the next few
weeks the April 10, 2009 release date will remain in tact.

20.02.2009Rumor: 16GB and 32GB Zune HD hitting stores in September
The release of Microsoft's Zune HD is very anticipated by many people, and for many reasons. So far, from what we've seen, it's a very
sexy device and provides an alternative to Apple's iPod touch; however, we don't know all the details. Nobody is yet sure on the storage space
that will be provided by the device, nor is anybody (except Microsoft, of course) exactly sure on a release date. The folks at Gizmodo hope to sort a
bit of that out for us. They've received a documents that are apparently straight from inside Microsoft, which point to both storage sizes and an
exact release date.

25.06.2009Windows 7 Beta 1 in January
At PDC 2008, Steven Sinofsky announced a general availability date of Windows 7 to be sometime "early next year". This appears to be true according
to a Microsoft Insider, who has 'guestimated' the official date to be January 13.
Ed Bott from ZDNet predicts that a demo of Beta 1
will be shown at CES. Ballmer will be giving the pre-CES keynote on January 7, and he has no doubt in his mind that Win7 will be unveiled during that
time slot (traditionally given by Bill Gates).
It only makes sense that a public release comes soon after the demo, so if Ed's
predictions are correct, the release date of January 13 makes perfect sense.
Keep your eye on the news throughout the month. We're sure
to hear some more on the topic very soon!
