testing site. The bits hold the build number 14.0.4006.1110 meaning they are older than the recent "beta" leak. Yesterday Microsoft unveiled Office
2010 and Office Web Applications 2010 at the company's annual Worldwide Partner Conference. It's widely expected that Microsoft will offer a

A new build of Office 2010 has surfaced around the web, identifying itself as "Microsoft Office 2010 Build 4417". The build is not a huge difference
but offers small improvements and more stability over the previously leaked Mondo builds which were plauged with problems. The most notable new
feature is that Back-Stage view has been altered and enhanced alot more and looks like it's almost finished. There's a new upload center to
store and share documents online - perhaps through live mesh - or it could be the Office Web Applications/Office Live Workspaces.

MSNBC has officially confirmed that the next version of office (previously known as "Office 14") will be named "Office 2010". Its' expected to
RTM within the first half of 2010, but no specific dates are known yet.
Supporting some rumors we heard
long ago, MSNBC says
that the new versions of each product within the Office suite will include slimmed-down versions that can be used to edit documents easily within a
browser. A free, ad-supported version is still supposedly in the works as well.
Microsoft plans to make the public beta readily available
in Q3 of this year, allowing "hundreds of thousands of people" to test it. No word on a second beta at this point, but they are expected to release
more details tomorrow.
The updated version of Exchange server gets to skip the waiting time; it will be available for purchase in the
second half of 2009.
What we know for now is:
- It will be named "Office 2010"
- It will be available in both 32-bit
and 64-bit
- A slimmed down, browser-run version, as well as a free ad-supported version are in the works.
- A public beta
will
be widely available
- It will not be released in conjunction with Windows 7, but later in the year.
