WinInfo: Week of December 12

The man who just 'knows' has spoken out on the December CTP build & possible dates of delivery. Testers were sadly disappointed last month when Microsoft failed to deliver the November CTP build (that would of been 5259) touting that it had 'issues' and it was probably better to wait for a 'better more feature complete version' in December. According to Thurrott the December build won't be the feature complete build all testers were hoping for, almost, but not quite. Whatever that means. Oh, and heres 2 short takes from Wininfo for your enjoyment.

Full Review: Windows Vista December CTP

Love-him-hate-him Paul Thurrot has released a four part in-depth review of Vista's December CTP. "I think people are going to be surprised by how good the Windows Vista December 2005 Community Technical Preview (CTP, or build 5270) really is.

After years of painful delays and an uncertain couple of months since the last CTP, Microsoft shipped a near-feature-complete Vista build to testers this week, and the prognosis is extremely positive. From what I can see, Vista has turned the corner. The December CTP is an exciting release, stable and full of new features. In this review, I'll examine those new features, and the features that have changed since the previous CTP, build 5231"
