Las Vegas. The public beta of Office SharePoint server is due to begin in November, alongside the public beta of Microsoft Office 2010. Microsoft has
said that Office 2010, Project 2010, Visio 2010, and SharePoint Server 2010 will be available for public testing during November, and will be free to

Doug Klokow: While putting together a Vista image using MDT (RTM), I assembled a group of drivers to support a number of HP machine models. After
assembling a list of machines I downloaded a number of drivers directly from HP's website, and added them into the out-of-box drivers in MDT.
I had several machine models which were blue screening after the first reboot, and finally determined that the Blue Screen was the
result of a driver I had included to support ATI graphics for a nc6400 laptop. The HP file was
SP36487 and included the ATI video driver to support the laptop,
and also a small driver identified as a ATI PCI Express (3GIO) Filter Driver, and was accompanied by MSI which when run was identified as a North
Bridge Filter Driver.

The wait is over folks, Microsoft has published the download page for the Windows 7 RC. As we noted earlier, the download was scheduled to launch
tomorrow and was to be available worldwide. Coming straight from the download page, here are Microsoft's notes for the release candidate: You
don't need to rush to get the RC. The RC will be available at least through July 2009 and we're not limiting the number of product keys, so
you have plenty of time. Watch the calendar. The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every
two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start.

Two days from now Microsoft will remove the Windows 7 Release Candidate from their website. If you want to test out Windows 7 for free, then you will
need to download this before the 20th August, 2009. Windows 7 users who are currently on the release candidate will not have to worry until March 1,
2010 and June 1, 2010 when bi-hourly shutdowns and license expiration's will begin. Alternatively, if you want to get your hands on the final
release now, Windows 7 RTM is now available to Technet Plus and MSDN subscribers.

As part of Microsoft's Office 2010 announcements today the company has taken the wraps off a number of social networking add-ins that will be
available for Outlook 2010. Outlook 2010 features a new Outlook Social Connector (OSC) straight into Outlook 2010. The connector provides a stream of
content from SharePoint, Windows Live and other social networking sites. At the bottom of Outlook emails users will be provided with contacts latest
social networking posts. The presence of social networking inside Office 2010 is part of a broad strategy that Microsoft is implementing. The next
version of Windows Live Messenger will also feature a social stream within the client, similar to the OSC.
