meaning this build is only a week old. As ever the build is available at the usual places but it might be worth waiting until RTM as a lot of Windows
7 torrents have been hit by malware and viruses recently. Microsoft is still on target to finalise Windows 7 over the summer with a general

Another week and another Windows 7 leak. Last week build 7137 leaked and this week it is 7201's turn. This time around the build tag is
7201.0.090601-1516 meaning this build is only 3 days old. It's been rumored to leak all day, but just minutes ago, the torrents were posted.
Microsoft Netherlands employee Ruud de Jonge twittered "Installing Win 7 build 7201" a few moments ago to confirm the builds
authenticity.
Microsoft revealed yesterday that it will sign off final RTM code in mid to late July with a general availability and release

Windows 7 users with ATI cards can take a deep sigh of relief today, as ATI has finally made available the latest 9.3 release of their Catalyst driver
suite with proper support for 7.
As well as support for Windows 7, the drivers have supposedly improved Folding@Home performance on it's
HD 2000 series cards and above, and also now include the HDMI audio drivers for Windows Vista by default in the main driver package.
Unfortunately, TV capturing on ATI's All-In-Wonder cards will not function in Windows Media Center and no proper Windows 7 support is included for
this function in this release.

can download Windows 7 RC now. Otherwise, you can download Windows 7 RC starting May 5, 2009. The message on the site also states
that everyone else will receive the RC on May 5, 2009.

Windows 7 beta download imminent?
Microsoft have updated their Windows 7 site with a download link for the Windows 7 beta. It would appear from the posting that Microsoft is currently
readying site updates and download servers for the imminent release of the Windows 7 beta. Yesterday, German site Winfuture claimed that the beta
would be released today and this could confirm the sites claims. The download link is currently inaccessible. It's entirely possible that once
the page is live it will simply be a sign up page to register your interest. Microsoft will not comment on the exact date and a Microsoft official
confirmed the beta is still targetted for early 2009.

Windows 7 On Track For 2010 Release
That's the year we'll make contact, and not before.
Chris Flores, the head of Microsoft Featured Communities confirmed to Neowin by
stating "As most of you are well aware, there has been quite a bit of recent speculation about Win7. While I am not at liberty to discuss the details
of Win7 (yet) I do want to set the record straight that we are still shooting for 2010 - 3 years from the launch of Vista."
Bearing in
mind that 2010 is just a little under a year and a half away, it's unreasonable to think that something would be released in between; however we
can speculate that SP2 for Windows Vista will come before then and may introduce some new features making the upgrade from XP worthwhile. Pure
speculation of course!

Win7 Beta Download Date Extended
After a rough start with distributing the beta, Microsoft must feel guilty. They have extended the time available for public testers to download and
obtain keys for the beta.
All the way up to February 10, downloads and keys will be available for public download. After that date, if
you have the download, keys will still be available.
This cutoff date does not include MSDN and Technet subscribers; the beta along with
the keys will be available throughout the entire testing phase.
The expiration date for the beta is August 1, 2009 with an RC release to selected testers scheduled for before that
date.
If you thought you missed out, but still want to get your hands on the beta, now's the time to do it!
