My Office 12 Review
A few weeks ago the Microsoft Office team worked hard to get Beta 1 out of the door to beta testers via Microsoft Beta. This build was quite successful in all products of Office.
Unfortunately, Microsoft Office ?12? does not come with a new product but the same products that have many changes will keep testers busy until Beta 2! During the Beta phase of Office 2003, Code-named ?Office 11? and referred to as NGO (Next Generation of Office), brought new applications to the table. These applications were InfoPath and OneNote.

Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 Review
A Little History
Virtualization software is nothing new, and dates back quite some time. One of the most popular examples for the end user was Connectix Virtual PC for the Mac. Since there are a pretty huge number of programs that are only available on Windows, this created a strong market niche to let Mac users run Windows programs, even if at reduced speed.
Virtual PC for the Mac, rather than emulating Windows, emulated the x86 architecture and the requisite peripheral devices, such as a video and sound card. This meant that emulation could work quite flawlessly, but also that any user would need to purchase a copy of Windows as well and then install it onto the Virtual PC. Virtual PC was a success and Connectix later created a Windows version which let you run most x86 OSes ? something quite useful for developers, enthusiasts, and IT professionals.

Full Review: Windows Vista December CTP
Love-him-hate-him Paul Thurrot has released a four part in-depth review of Vista's December CTP. "I think people are going to be surprised by how good the Windows Vista December 2005 Community Technical Preview (CTP, or build 5270) really is.
After years of painful delays and an uncertain couple of months since the last CTP, Microsoft shipped a near-feature-complete Vista build to testers this week, and the prognosis is extremely positive. From what I can see, Vista has turned the corner. The December CTP is an exciting release, stable and full of new features. In this review, I'll examine those new features, and the features that have changed since the previous CTP, build 5231"

16.04.2009Review of the Week: LG Venus by StevoFC
As part of the Sunday's Member-Written Review of the Week, the front page would like to show you another review written by one of our very own
members and posted in
Reviews by Members for Members. This
subforum is predominantly hardware reviews but software reviews have an equal chance of being picked. This week I have chosen StevoFC's review of
the LG Venus. Pictures are courtesy of StevoFC.
" At a quick glance the phone looks great…much better than my old phone, a V3C
Razr. The front of the phone is 2 screens basically covered by what seems to be glass. But after using the phone for a while I noticed that the bottom
(touch) screen seems to have some give to it, almost feeling squishy so to speak. As you look close you will see that some parts of the phone
aren’t black, but a dark blue color. It’s slightly annoying to the overall appearance, but in certain light you really can’t
tell. "

09.03.2006LG GGW-H10NI Super Multi Blue optical drive review
Call this a preview of even better things to come...
The fact is we have had the LG GGW-H10NI Super Multi Blue drive in our hands for a couple of
months now, however we did not know in full what to do with it. In one hand, the GGW-H10N is the most advanced optical drive you can get for the PC
today, with the capacity of reading and rewriting Blu-ray discs, reading HD DVD discs, and handling all other standard media tasks with DVDs and
CDs.
Sounds good so far? Well, the problem with the GGW-H10NI is in part what makes it great.
LG amused us with the announcement
of a hybrid optical drive capable of handling both next-generation formats back in January during this year's CES trade show. However, the GGW-H10NI
did not appear in store shelves until June for a staggering $1,200, which of course reduced its appeal to a more select few willing to pay the
premium for this first generation wonder. Furthermore, only one month later, during July they announced an improved drive that would sell for less
money, slated for release in late September (it's now October so obviously it has taken them a bit longer, but it should be out any day now).
But just like Steve Jobs blatantly put it recently when he announced price cuts for the iPhone: "that's what happens in technology." Today,
the GGW-H10NI is still available for a reduced price of $850, while many are still waiting for its successor, the GGW-H20LI which will carry a
more appealing price tag of $500.
