While businesses and corporate entities may have little interest in using either Vista or Mac OSX, both are gaining popularity and market share but
only in the area related to home or home office use which is both good and bad.
Its good in the fact that Vista now has a 10%
market share in computers that are connected to the Internet, its bad that corporations are either not going to deploy Vista or have delayed
deployments so much that by the time it comes around again, Windows 7 may be out.
Mac OSX now has something in the area of a 7%
market share, Mac use has seen excellent growth over the past year but has not been without its
share of problems. Large corporations would never deploy OSX on a wide scale so that is not a concern there.

marketing mistakes and promised there would be response to Apple's "Get a Mac" ads. They say that confession is good for the corporate soul. I
say that it's not good enough.
Microsoft should never have abandoned the original "Wow" Windows Vista marketing campaign. It brought
new meaning to the term "marketing blitz." The campaign flashed by before anybody could blink and say, "Wow." Even if Microsoft executives loathed
the ads, better to keep them than have nothing. I remain convinced that the Vista marketing campaign could have been very effective. The TV
commercials were aspirational, potentially creating positive feelings about the then-mysterious Windows Vista.

Let me step onto my own personal soapbox for a minute.
Ive always been one of those do-it-yourself, "hardcore" PC guys. I
believed that the only good desktop PC was one you built yourself, and thats just what Ive done for the last 10 years.
Then I found an
incredible deal online through Dell last September. I realized that for under $1000 I could spec out and build a machine that would cost me a few
hundred more to build myself. At that point I should have remembered the old adage, "if its too good to be true..."

its a good time to share with you the Vista to Vista SP1 action plan that I developed that has meant that I have (so far ¦ ) enjoyed a 100% success

Windows Vista changed so much within the world of Windows, as Microsoft threw that red headed step child out there for the world to see. Not all of
those changes were good. Your mind is flooding with obvious jokes after reading that, I know, but it's true in ways many people tend to forget.
Vista, in many ways, did to the skinning community what The Buggles claimed video did to the radio star: Killed it. Windows XP was ugly. There was no
way around that fact. The default Luna interface looked as though it was drawn by a crayon on a crumpled up napkin. Nothing about it was clean or
polished.
