21.2.2009 Windows Internet Explorer 7 DOWNLOAD
Few days ago at RSA, Bill Gates talked about Internet Explorer 7. As the guy responsible for IE, I wanted to say a couple of things about it.
First, some basics: we’re committing to deliver a new version of Internet Explorer for Windows XP customers. Betas of IE7 will be available this summer. This new release will build on the work we did in Windows XP SP2 and (among other things) go further to defend users from phishing as well as deceptive or malicious software.

BusinessWeek is reporting that Microsoft's next release of Internet Explorer, version 7, will not be integrated into Windows. Breaking nearly ten years of tradition, Internet Explorer was always very tightly integrated into Windows, allowing users to do such things as launch a website directly from any Windows Explorer window, or save a live web page as the desktop wallpaper.

Along with Beta 1 of Windows Vista, Microsoft has produced not one but two beta versions of Internet Explorer 7--one for Windows XP, and one in the Vista beta. The most exciting (and long overdue) innovation in both is tabbed browsing, which lets you open multiple Web pages in one browser window. You switch between the pages by clicking tabs in the IE 7 window. (The free MSN Search Toolbar adds tabs to IE 6.) Tabs have long been in Opera, and they're an attraction in Mozilla Firefox.

Back when the Internet was first invented (for want of a better word) it was used mainly by universities and research institutions to share documents and information via FTP, Gopher and Usenet. Microsoft is planning on shipping a version of Windows 7 to Europe that will not include Internet Explorer. This is according to a confidential memo
that was sent to PC makers and obtained by CNET. It is likely that Microsoft is reacting to the European Union concerns that by bundling Internet
Explorer with Windows 7 it is being anti-competitive in the browser market. Microsoft's lawyers responded by saying "Our decision to only offer

Internet Explorer(IE) is an optional Windows feature and can be installed/uninstalled from Windows 7. This will be a welcoming (and surprising) news,
especially to European Union and Opera who have accused Microsoft for not giving consumers a genuine choice of Web browsers. If IE is upgraded to
version 8 in Vista (from version 7), users do get an option to uninstall IE 8, but not IE 7. IE 7 remains as integral component of Windows Vista which
cannot be removed.

controls but also provides some more general information. The details, posted on the Windows 7 for Developers blog, reveal that using Windows 7 E
will be similar to using the full version of Windows 7 but with the Internet Explorer component disabled. This is also how they suggest that

Union's 23 official languages. It hopes the data will help improve the quality of a variety of language tools, including grammar and spelling

The sentences are mostly drawn from the "Acquis Communautaire," the body of law that must be implemented by all new E.U. member states, and
