9.6.2008Survey says 34% won't buy the iPhone 3GS because of AT&T
According to Gearlog, PriceGrabber, which operates a price-comparison site for online shopping, conducted a poll of 2,411 respondents between June 12

been lagging in iPhone feature deployment. They have also been criticized for its iPhone upgrade policy, which they later revised. Despite all of
this, AT&T sold out of iPhone 3GS launch day pre-orders, and on launch day, it was AT&T's best ever sales.

Apple's not been too great in the eyes of the public, as of late. Many (still, and fairly) have complaints about their App Store, due to the

be safe to assume that consumers aren't too pleased with their purchases; alas, AppleInsider is reporting that it's quite the opposite... the
most recent product of the company, the iPhone 3GS, has a fairly impressive 99% success rate (of those that were surveyed). The report came from RBC

16.08.2009AT&T revises iPhone upgrade policy
After reporting that AT&T will charge existing customers $599 for the 16GB iPhone 3GS and $699 for the 32GB, AT&T has responded to numerous
complaints with good news. Customers who are eligible for an upgrade (usually after 12-18 months and spend more than $99 a month) will only need
to pay $199 (16GB) or $299 (32GB) iPhone 3GS. Customers who are not eligible for the upgrade and wish not to wait can still upgrade their
iPhone, following under AT&T's 'Early Upgrade' policy paying $399 (16GB) or $499 (32GB). Customers with no commitment can
purchase the iPhone 3GS for $599 (16GB) or $699 (32GB). This policy change will be sure to encourage consumers to upgrade to the newest
iPhone.

18.06.2009Apple, AT&T to offer no-contract iPhones
Looks like we'll have to get up bright and early to buy the new iPhone. Also, AT&T says a "no-commitment" iPhone is "coming soon."
First things first: The new iPhone 3G will go on sale at 8 a.m. next Friday at AT&T retail stores and Apple stores. So if you're planning on
lining up, you'd better be ready well before sunrise.
Also, AT&T has finally clarified pricing for current AT&T subscribers who want
the iPhone 3G.
In a nutshell, if you're "upgrade eligible" (log into your AT&T account to see if you are), you'll be able to
buy the new iPhone for the discounted price of $199 for the 8GB version or $299 for the 16GB model. (AT&T is somewhat vague about the
eligibility criteria, although your credit history and the time remaining on your contract are factors.) You'll also have to pay an $18
"upgrade fee."
If you're not eligible for the discount, you'll have to fork over extra for an "early upgrade"-$399 for the
8GB iPhone 3G or $499 for the 16GB model. Ouch.
AT&T also says that a "no-commitment" (read: no contract) iPhone 3G will be available
soon, at $599 for the 8GB version and or $699 for the 16GB handset. Pricey, but hey-no two-year contract.

16.12.2008Carphone Warehouse accused of misleading iPhone customers
Staff at Carphone Warehouse, the UK-based mobile communications retailer, are alleged to be misleading customers about Apple's iPhone insurance
policy, the BBC has claimed.
The information being communicated to prospective buyers or customers, who expressed fears about losing their
iPhone, was that they would have to buy a new 18-month contract at a cost of GBP630 (Sterling) in the event of losing their handset, which was not
true, an undercover report by the BBC claimed.
According to Apple's iPhone policies, the customer would have to buy a new handset in
