First Android phone in stores today and tomorrow
While I like the fact that T-Mobile let us existing customers pre-order the T-Mobile G1 the day it was announced last month, the benefit of pre-ordering seems to have lost that huge advantage I was thinking we were gaining.

Matthäus Krzykowski & Daniel Hartmann have successfully ported Google's mobile operating system, Android, to a desktop operating system. The

Ever since Google and T-Mobile launched the T-Mobile G1 users have been able to connect to the Android Marketplace to download applications both free

available. With the release of Android 1.6 users saw some big changes to the Android Marketplace with a more updated interface. Instead of the black
and white interface, users were presented with a graphical interface to view and download the latest and greatest Android application from a host of
developers.

As the Android Developers Blog indicates, Google's Android Market, found on their Android mobile OS, is now accepting paid applications from
developers in the US and the UK, and said applications will become available next week. Having the Android Market accept paid applications is an

applications that will given away for free. Allowing them to choose a price for their applications gives them incentive, and in turn will lead to
growth of Google's store. The method of payment and billing for these applications will be via Google Checkout.
