29.10.2008Possible Chrome OS shots leak out
It didn't take long after Google announced its entrance into the operating system wars that the first photos have leaked onto the net. What you
are able to see below are shots of the Chrome desktop with one application installed, Google Talk. It's not yet clear whether these screen shots
are 100% legit. The author cites that it took approximately ten minutes to install the OS on a Acer Extensa 4620Z laptop and it required only 1
restart. Approximate reboot cycle time from desktop to desktop took about 25 seconds and was described as "amazingly fast" but this was a stripped
down beta to show off to developers.

06.01.2008New web threat takes advantage of iFrame vulnerability, making its way to the U.S.
Security firm Trend Micro
said
that it has discovered a new
threat that is currently
making the rounds on the
Internet. The threat is based
on an iFrame vulnerability in
webpage code to plant a
keylogger to steal user
passwords, or turn computers
into proxy servers for various
other attacks.
Trend
Micro said that the threat
could have originated from a
computer Trojan-making kit and
relies on a scenario in which
website owners are unaware
that they are compromised, and
website users are unaware that
surfing through seemingly
legitimate pages can actually
be part of an infection
process. This process,
according to the security
firm, involves a malicious IP
address that is inserted into
the HTML code
(HTML_IFRAME.CU), a download
of malicious Trojans
(TROJ_SMALL.HCK,
TROJ_AGENT.UHL, TROJ_PAKES.NC,
PAKES) from another URL via a
JavaScript routine.
TrendMicro said that the
threat was initially detected
in Italy, but apparently is
making its way to the U.S.

With the trial winding down to the wire, possibly at the end of this week, more evidence against The Pirate Bay comes into play, but is on shaky
ground of being anything from evidence against them. A lawyer from IFPI, Magnus Mårtensson took the stand with evidence including screen shots

The IFPI downloaded several games and movies using the popular uTorrent. The IFPI's lawyer's technical ability was called into question and
