First Google Health Screenshots

Google Health, codename Weaver, is Googles planned health information storage program. Googles Vice President of Engineering Adam Bosworth lobbies for the program for quite a while now. Adam said the current US health care system is challenged when it comes to supporting caregivers and communicating between different medical organizations.

Adam went on to say that people need the medical information that is out there and available to be organized and made accessible to all ... Health information should be easier to access and organize, especially in ways that make it as simple as possible to find the information that is most relevant to a specific patients needs. Adam adds that this making information accessible happens to be along Googles mission.

To find out just what you might be able to see in a future Google Health service, take a look at these screenshots from Googles prototype which have been sent in here. As prototypes go, certain approaches of the program may change, and the specific interface may or may not be kept like this in a final release. Well make mistakes and it will be a long-range march, the NYT quotes Adam Bosworth.

Screenshots of first Googlephone app

Remember WhatsOpen.com, the stealth search startup that piqued Google cofounder Sergey Brin's interest last month? Brin was so intrigued he told the founders to keep the company hush-hush. Now, however, a source has leaked screenshots of WhatsOpen's secret project. The company has a Web application which shows users nearby stores and their operating hours -- "what's open." But I'm told by a source that WhatsOpen has also written the first wireless app for Google's new Android operating system. (You may know Android better as the software behind the still-mythical Googlephone.) Demo screenshots after the jump.

Windows Live Messenger Build 14.0.3921.0717

Ah, the sweet smell of a Windows Live Messenger leak is in the air again, and along with that lovely smell is an actual download this time.

We've been lucky enough to get our hands on the latest build of Windows Live Messenger 2009 (fka. v9). The build number, however, has struck us somewhat by surprise, already being at 14.0.3921.0717, clearly not following the common path.

In this build, the first thing you will notice is a relatively restyled user interface, but not entirely revamped. While some areas have remained fairly consistent with 8.5 such as the contact list, other areas such as the conversation window, have had a good makeover.

In the new feature department, well, it was sort of like turning the handle on a jack-in-the-box for 2 minutes only to find out he was no longer inside. So far, the only two new features that have been discovered is a new photo sharing utility that allows contacts to share and browse photos simultaneously, as well as a new "Group" feature, which allows you to create a never ending group conversation which essentially re-invites the same contacts every time the "group" is initiated, unless a contact decides to opt-out. However, this feature just doesn't seem to want to work in this build.

If you're interested in giving it a try and checking out some of our screenshots, head on over to the link below.
