I went to Start > Run & typed the command "C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato". I got the message:

Activating Windows ™ Vista, Ultimate Edition

Error: 0xC004F025 Access Denied: the requested action requires elevated privileges.

I'm signed in as the Admin (my only account). I have also worked thru the rest of the steps no problem. Any ideas?

You need to run it with elevated privileges.
Type "cmd" into the start menu search field, then press Ctrl+Enter.
Then you can input the command into the window as you would in the run box.

Here you go: http://www.sendspace.com/file/serxlq remove the "mod" in the file name. Also the slmgr_generated.txt file will show up in your c:\..... I changed it because it could not find My Documents

Apart from hogging a PC for a few days it could do nothing at all.

Im not trying to be disparaging or anything but what does "generate" mean as a switch for slmgr.vbs????

It seems the only indication it works is from new joiners with a single post!!

The version for download on Newsgroups has a virus in the jellybean keyfinder.

Is there anyone who can confirm this works???? from all this lot...... It seems not.

Sorry, but several "reports" that it works (not just runs, but actually finds a new working keys) is far from "proof of concept".

We all know that a lot of people around will lie about it working just to mess with us.

It will be actually proof, when we will see at least several of generated keys that will be fully published, so we all can easely check that these are indeed working (at least being accepted as proper keys, not needed to pass actual activation), and also we all will be able to check that these were not floating on the internet before. And dont say that "they wont publish any because they want to keep em for themselves" - if keygen really working, you can always make additional keys.

I dont't know why, but my timestopcrack did stop working. I tried to run it then but I get an error during the installation. I now only have got 27 days left! Because of that my only hope is this key for a activation. It is running about 22 hours now, but I don`t see any change in my Vista Ultimate Serial with the keyfinder. My CPU (a AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3800+ 2.40 GHz) is still at 100%. I hope I will have a positiv result in the next hours.
