read the nfo file that came with the download. open the nfo file with notepad. the key will be in there! just like every other hack download!

i believe it would be better for many people if this download was uploaded to an ftp site or other file storage site because torrents do not work for everyone.
hay its not a bad dnload its simply not accepting the product key it would work if we had a good product key, so put a ftp site that has the dnload dont just come and tell us that if you know one post it!!
i don't have the download, so that's why i said someone should post it to an ftp site or some storage site like rapidshare or megaupload or something.
you think it's legal to upload a file like this to the internet? it's not legal to use it at all, that's why it's not on the internet already... at least not readily available. rapidshare and megaupload will definitely not allow these files on their webspace because they are liable! what a dumbass!

by the way, the bittorrents aren't exactly legal either, since the betas for windows vista aren't public!!
regarding a new key - you should find the key in the nfo file as someone mentioned above. apparently that isn't working for you, so go to a product serial site or try the key that was posted for beta 1.
hay stupuid you still dont get it none of the keys work!! the one on www.serials.ws keeps giving the same old ones. that came with nfo file rhe one with beta 1 dosnt work either. and lecaly they shouldnt be posting the dnload for any illgal stuff. if they post it they should post the right product key. jezz all i would like is the right key to get this thing to work!!

on c:\ make two files one "torrent",one called "vista iso".download the window vista pre-beta2 from this page to the "torrent" file.when download is compleet, extract these files to "vista iso" file.when you open the "vista iso"file you see one rar file.
here i made the mistake to extract the files again.dont do this (you see all the maps like driver, support,read me,boot, ect)if you burn this on your dvd it will not accept the product key!!!
burn this iso file to a dvd, i use nero expres.now go look for the "vista iso" folder. in nero set file type on "image files[*.nrg;*.iso;*.cue]" now you can burn this on dvd disc.product key will be accepted........
the answer was in front of my nose all the time..read the info file that came with the download again.

whenever i try to download any of these ms beta files with any torrent client i always get "rejected by tracker-connection limit exceeded" can someone tell me what i"m doing wrong?

first, no matter how many rar files you have downloaded... go to the file "windows.vista.ultimate.build.5219.dvd-winbeta" you have downloaded... there is gonna be about 50 rar files. just right click one of the rar files and select 'extract here" ... that's it... you will have an iso imagen(do not extract it!!!) just burne it with any software as an iso image file... then the code will be accepted once you install it from the dvd you just recorded!!! enjoy!!!

haha, this is hilarious reading... if you can't handle a .iso file then don't bother downloading vista, go do your homework or clean your room instead. maybe you can save up your allowance and buy it when it is officially released.
how do you extract these files they are in both 7zip and winrar format and when i rename them to .7z or .r01 i cannot open the files am i doing someting wrong?

guys after i explained how to deal with all the .rar files many of you have installed windows vista... now i have a terrible problem and i dont know how to solve it... when i start installing wvista everything looks fine and the computer restarts.. but (there is always a but) when the computer restarts there is only a blackout on my screen... nothing happens after the reebot... can anybody help me out with this??? you must use a program that supports the 7-zip file format, like 7-zip (www.7-zip.org) or powerarchiver (www.powerarchiver.com).
make sure you do not rename any of the files, however.

i downloaded the 7-zip program also and tried extracting them but couldn't figure it out. can someone please give me instructions on how to do it.
are the http links version 5112? if so, it's odd because both the bittorrents and the http links say the iso file is 2.82 gb.
to extract the files, right click on the file with extension .001 and click extract to... or something like that. i haven't used 7-zip, so i wouldn't know. i could tell you, though, how to use the powerarchiver program.

are you sure you can't connect? when you click on the link, scroll down and click "free". then, wait for the page to load, and it'll say something like "download-ticket reserved. please wait so-and-so seconds...".

i downloaded all 20 7-zip files from rapid share last night, extracted it and found a 988 mb sized set of files, as you'd find on a dvd rom. unfortunately, the damn this in russian and i still haven't figured out a way to customise it for english - which accoring to ms, you should be able to do once you get past the windows pe setup stage( correct me if i'm wrong.), but if anyone has an english version of vista, do let us know. ty.
yes the rapidshare files are for the russian version you will need a torrent client to get the english version

go to www.freebyte.com and you can put files 1-20 back together. then you must extract the end file.

i dont see why people are dling the files from rapidshare, if you dont have a premium account it will take over 20 hours(not inlcuding download time), with you having to be there every hour. while the torrent for me finished in just under 15 hours with no user intervention.

after realizing that this is a bogus file you guys should have went to mirc or torrent to get the file. if you are looking for the x64 version i know for a fact you can get it off mirc as i got mine there.

after the download is made you'll see lots of rar files, just extract one of them in a folder, and then all you have to do is download and install ultraiso to burn the file you just extracted..

if burning a disk is too complicated or too scary for some of yall, yall need to come to the 21 century real fast
and blank disks are cheap so that cant be an excuse
since i didnt download this particular file, i dont know the contents of it. but based on my experience downloading and making bootable disks, imma try to help those out who seem lost.
1. download file
2. (sorry i left this out in my rant..:-) if the files are alot of .rar files extract file(s) using winrar. (u can just click the first .rar file, all other files will auto extract)
3. if extracted file is already an .iso file, just burn and go. if not, u gonna have to make the files an .iso first.
find noobie tutorials on how to make files .iso or how to make files bootable

i got it, burned and it boots and shows a blank screen beeping like crazy...
you dont need the 20 rar files idiots, just one, unzip one and will give you a iso file, which you will have to burn it on dvd in order to install the os ,(the key works in this way) get ultraiso program and burn the iso-file to dvd to make a bootable dvd.
no need to wait 20 hours to download it, if you guys go to university or high school, go to the computer areas. i've got t1 in my uni, and nearly most pcs (some share the connection) have their own ip, that's like being another person in internet, so no need to wait one hour for each new download!! i just downloaded this vista in 30 mins!!

all you have to do is the following:
1. have an internet connection and a good provider (who doesn't block p2p).
2. download and install trusty files (free version) (www.trustyfiles.com). this p2p client works on 6 networks like no other client, including gnutella 1, gnutella 2, overnet, edonkey (or emule), fasttrack and bittorrent. even if your provider is inclined to blocking p2p, there is a great chance that at least one of the networks will work.
3. search (click the search tab) for windows vista iso file. the best choice would be windows vista build 5231 dated october 04, 2005, rather than september 12, 2005. just write windows vista 5231 and search for it. then classify search results by size and download the largest ones (the build of october 4 is 2.86 gb, whereas the build of sep. 12 is 2.84 gb).
4. wait for one to thre days until the iso file downloads.
5. do not extract the iso file. just burn it onto a dvd using the nero ultra edition program or any other related software. if using nero, you should choose "burn image to disc".
6. get the key from astalavista.box.sk
7. it is more complicated to get the keygen that activates the os so that it is valid forever, not only 180 days. yet i think it's possible.
8. install wv and enjoy it.

i have seriously never read as much stupid, idiotic comments in my life. seriously people, if u dont even know how to burn an .iso image, u sure as hell musn't be trying to install windows vista. it's way to unstable to be running it permanently. i ran build 5212 for 2 days, and it crashed. i agree totally with marky. vista is not a toy, so to speak. it's still in beta, so if you dont know what irq stands for, rather stay away kids... btw, russian is cool...
if you want a copy of vista go to ebay, and buy a beta 2 from microsoft basement. it's $1.70 plus shipping and handling to test it!
