Why do they use Megaupload?

People use Megaupload.com because we are simply the best way to get large and small files from one person to another over the internet.

It eliminates the following problems:

• It is more secure than normal e-mail.



• You don't have to worry about the size of file and being rejected because their e-mail server won't allow a file that big or their e-mail is full.


• If you send a file to several people and discover you forgot someone you don't have to upload the attachment again. Simply send the megaupload file link to the person you forgot.


• The download is the exact file you uploaded and no one had a chance to spoof or replace the file with another. Our servers are secure and after a file is uploaded and you have the link it can be removed but not changed.


• Now you are able to e-mail out from an internet cafe, friends PC, or while you're at a company pc. You can easily upload the files from the PC and then download them when you get to your destination.


• Stop being shouted at by your friends saying it took forever to get your e-mail attachment and they couldn't receive or send an e-mail until it's completed. Not everyone is on a high speed connection and files get larger everyday. By sending the link people can download your files at their leisure when they are ready.


• Eliminate country or domain blocking problems for e-mail. Because of spam more and more companies are implementing new rules about receiving e-mails. It is not uncommon for companies to delete e-mail from certain countries or even domains. If someone can't receive your e-mail just telephone them and give them the file link over the telephone. This will allow them to download the file easily and simply.

How to Upload Files

1. Go to MegaUpload website (off course!)
   

   





2. Click on the Browse button to select which file you want to upload. A file dialog will open.
   

   

   
   

   Choose the file and select Ok.

   
   

   



3. Give a description of file you upload on the File Description, so everyone who download it know for sure what file it is. If you want to send notification to a specific person, enter his/her email address on the Recipient Address and your own email address on the Your Email. Click Send.
   

   



4. File upload progress will begin. You can see the current progress on the right.

   

   Once the upload finished, the progress bar will change.

   

5. Look at the top part of the screen (where the Select File to Send textbox appear before). Now there's a unique URL on it. This is the download address of your file. If you want someone to download the file you've just uploaded, just give them that URL.

   

How to Download Files

1. Go to the download URL. The following page will appear. Note that there's a 45 secs counter on the top. As a free member, you have to wait until the counter expired before you can download the file.

   

2. Once the 45 secs counter passed, message below will appear. Just click on it to download the file.

To upload a file just follow these simple steps:

• Select a file to send by clicking the "Browse" button. You can then select photos, audio, video, documents or anything else you want to send. The maximum file size is 250 MB.
• You may choose who you want to send a file to. If you just want to get the link to your file stored on our server leave the optional fields blank.
• Click the "Send" button to start uploading the file. You will see the progress of the file transfer, please don't close your browser window while uploading or it will cancel the upload.
• If you entered an optional recipient e-mail address they will be sent the link of the file. They can then simply click the link to your file to download it.
• If you entered optionally your email address you will be sent the link and delete-link to your file stored on our server. You can share it for example on forums, websites, messengers, etc.
