Microsoft blacklists leaked Lenovo OEM Windows 7 Key

Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversAccording to Neowin, Microsoft has responded to the latest Windows 7 cracking scheme by blacklisting the Lenovo OEM master key on computers that are not manufactured by Lenovo.
Two days ago, Windows 7 Center reported that Windows 7 had already been cracked and activated just a week after the operating system had RTMed. The OEM master key was a special product key issued to Lenovo for activating the many pre-installed copies of Windows 7 Ultimate on their computers. Microsoft’s objective in fixing this particular pirating case was clear:
We’ve worked with that manufacturer so that customers who purchase genuine copies of Windows 7 from this manufacturer will experience no issues validating their copy of Windows 7. At the same time we will seek to alert customers who are using the leaked key that they are running a non-genuine copy of Windows.
Despite the fact that Microsoft has toned down the consequences that occur when WGA detects a non-genuine version of Windows, they still make it clear that pirating Windows 7 will not be easy:
Windows 7 already includes an improved ability to detect hacks, also known as activation exploits, and alert customers who are using a pirated copy. [...] The Windows Activation Technologies included in Windows 7 are designed to handle situations such as [the Lenovo case], and customers using these tools and methods should expect Windows to detect them.
Piracy has become an ongoing battle for Microsoft. There is no doubt that we will see more cracks and workarounds to activate Windows 7 in the future. It will be interesting to see how far Microsoft will go to stop the pirates.

Show all comments the bottom line is they can't stop their software from being hacked, no amount of wga
detection,or security updates, or service packs can stop this. windows 7 will be the most
hacked piece of software on the planet.
i've installed it today on 4 putrs already and it's still activated and downloading
updated fine.
it doesn't even contact their activation servers so tell me just how they can blacklist
it w/o issuing a new install disc with the key pre-blacklisted. i guess they could sneak
an update that would screw the key, but just turn auto updates off and then you can pick
which updates to install.
yes, they've made it an update. but i think, that there'll be a workaround soon.
1. i've seen no updates.
2. it's a matter of time until keys of other
manufacturers are released.
3. if it's an update and you don't install it, it will
only stop you from downloading content that needs authentication.
4. 1 month. that's
how much it will take for other keys to come to surface.

if you go to microsoft.com/genuine, it'll reject win7 rtm just like the beta and rc. it
will also default to "genuine" and let you download those wga-only updates.
so you will be able to activate win7 with the leaked key and download updates with it
until oct. 22nd, given that the genuine site says something to the effect of "your
operating system has not been released for sale".
congrats m$, now until another oem key leaks and we are back at sq1. once the os is
released, and computers go on sale with it installed, good luck blacklisting keys...
i think ms made the oems change the key then they will send a update patch.
until it's final and release anything can happen.
issuing lenovo a new key is more like a pr move than anything else. what's stopping them
from keeping the leaked key active? since all legit lenovo customers will only ever see
the new key, no one will notice this old one, especially after the other oem's keys leak.
windows 7 is the new xp for everbody, not like vista - and vista had a lot of cracks even
too.... but now, they will crack the shit out of 7, dont you worry
i have hazar's crack, but have yet to install it. does anyone know if this blacklist
affects hazar's hack?
well, you gotta do something to interject some fun into the release of this otherwise
non-groundbreaking, no-new-excitement os, so m$ is actually doing us a favor by presenting
us with the challenge - it's just a game played by a lot of people who *love* a
challenge.
they could charge five bucks for it, and people would still be
cracking it just to see if they could.

hazar is nothing but just a small kid. he uses the wow7 crack which
requires workarounds in order to work and archive's it in an automated .exe. in nutshell
we all are using wow7 crack which uses the lenovo's oem key.
7loader by orbit30 is now at v1.1 released on 01/08/2009. go and grab from mydigitallife
forum, under windows 7 section. enjoy. oh! btw if ms does block the key i suppose i am
safe as i already have a lenovo machine.

lenovo or not, geez.
the key will be blacklisted unless it's on the correct lenovo machine.

will only get a problem when wga checks your computer.
i have the master oem key installed. no blacklisting here yet and no wga update from
windows so what are they talking about at keznews? how can they blacklist a key that will
be used by dell, hp and lenovo. it will cost too much for them to rewrite certificates and
bios. i have to see first and then believe.

i konw this crack works just like the others but this is the only one that would work on

it doesnt matter at all if the key gets black-listed, if, your using the bios mod. a
blacklisted key, is only bad if your counting on your activation, and updates, via the
"online" wga authentication servers, but the bios mod is, "offline" activation,
which, means, they can blacklist till their blue in the face, and have self nixed all
their own serials, they cant alter, or interrfere with an onboard bios mod.
traditional blacklisting means invalidating the key on their servers, so that online
activation and calling into their indian customer service centers will bounce the key
right back as unverifiable.
with an slp key, they can either (1) release a
hotfix that will disable the key in its locally stored location in the registry, or (2)
release a wga update that will check specifically for this key and label your machine as
invalid.
the first one is useless since no one can force you to install an
update. the second can be bypassed if you add the line 127.0.0.1 mpa.one.microsoft.com to
the bottom of your hosts file. this will result in the key being checked against itself
and not ms's servers. wga is set up to give you the benefit of the doubt and declare your
system genuine in this case.

windows will only be unactivated if you let it downlaod updates and install them. its
best to have updates set to download updates but let me choose to install them and hide
any windows genuine advantage downlaods and you should be good to go.

well i myself have used the activator by hazar, and it has worked perfect thus far. i
have even gone forward in time and set the date to may 1st 2012, restarted and logged back
in without problems. i then reversed back in time, set the date back to the correct time,
rebooted and logged back in again without any issues. at this point my copy of win7 still
says activated.
been reading around and seen m$ has blacklisted this leaked oem
master key from lenovo. which they say would be treated as a pirated copy of windows when
it connects to m$ servers. what i want to know here, is if this product key has been
blacklisted as claimed by the posts i have read, why hasn't my copy been deactivated. or
more so why hasn't it been read as a pirated copy of windows as happens with win xp pro.
can anyone tell me if there's anyway to validate a copy of windows 7 like it
is being done presently for xp and vista? also, what software can be downloaded and will
verify my copy of win7 before installing, seeing that the latest versions of the apps is
already installed.

you guys know that you can still re-arm. i'd do that until a solid activator comes out.
installed win7 oem two days ago with dell certificate and lenovo oem key. everything was
fine until a few min ago. now my computer shows 27 days left to activate my win 7 copy.
mine is still activated using hazars crack v1.1, did ye disable all updates?
still works for me, even installed ton of office and all win 7 updates, restarted
multiple times all good still activated.

addressing the "leak of a special product key" of windows 7 rtm (release to
manufacturers). this confirmed the rumor on tuesday that an iso file of windows 7 rtm sent
to lenovo that contains a master key--a number used to verify the authenticity of the
software--was leaked to the internet.
according to the blog, "the key is for
use with windows 7 ultimate rtm product that is meant to be preinstalled by the oem
(original equipment manufacturer) on new pcs to be shipped later this year. as such, the
use of this key requires having a pc from the manufacturer it was issued to. we've worked
with that manufacturer so that customers who purchase genuine copies of windows 7 from
this manufacturer will experience no issues validating their copy of windows 7. at the
same time we will seek to alert customers who are using the leaked key that they are
running a non-genuine copy of windows. it's important to note that no pcs will be sold
that will use this key."
this means the hacked key will still work, though it
will likely be identified, presumably when the computer with this version of the hacked
windows 7 os installed connects to download updates from microsoft.

installation:
first of all, if you have previously installed any of loader or crack,
than start from the first point othervise start with 3rd:
1. right click .exe, select
run as administrator
2. uninstall all cracks and remove oem info,wait, reboot
3.
right click .exe, select run as administrator
4. on the list find your name of
motherboard (in my case asus)
5.clik on the icon (installing oem info)
6.click
on install7loader
7. restart (in my case it was automatic)
8. right click .exe,
select run as administrator
9. click on 7 activation report
