of course the oem images and boxed copies will not include the ei.cfg, nor will the
originals on technet, etc, but other than that they're clean!
what os the good of having the ei.cfg file or without?
it's in the source folder. just delete it and save the iso image. it'll still boot but
you will need to choose which version you want to install. obviously if you bought
professional, for example, and you plan on entering your cd key when you receive it, you
won't want to install ultimate.

those iso are the one that will be on technet. these have the same sha1 and crc that
microsoft have officially announce.
if the file hes talking about is removed, the crc

activation is easy: simply nuke it using chew-wga 0.3. google it, and you'll find it in
no time.
important: do not run chew-wga under a windows username that contains
a space ( ).

earlier this week there were reports that microsoft had
discovered some show-stopping bugs that would delay the rtm, but if build 7600 is
legitimate, then microsoft has obviously found a way around the issues. this build is in
the process of being leaked into the wild, but we recommend exercising caution with build
7600 as microsoft has not confirmed (or denied) its existence.
microsoft was
rumored to be aiming for compiling the rtm build on july 13, 2009. if 7600 is indeed the
rtm build, we can expect an official announcement as early as tomorrow, at the kickoff of
the microsoft worldwide partner conference, which is taking place in new orleans. of
course, for all we know, build 7700 might end up being the rtm, so let's all hold our
horses until microsoft gives the official word

just tried tried to install the 64bit version of mysteryguys direct link and there is a
install error about missing files and also there is no option to select the version you
wish to install

i´ve seen in the source folder the file ei.cfg which is responsible for
that "problem" (can´t select a version) ! just delete that file and make a new .iso !
now you can choose between home till ultimate!
why there´s an install error -
