Almost everybody who care about Windows 7 probably already knew that Windows 7 RTM General Availability (GA) is scheduled on October 22nd, 2009.

What’s not so certain is how early and how fast the privileged few can download the Microsoft officially released Windows 7 DVD ISO images and leak them to Internet for everybody else. Although not yet officially announced, Windows 7 RTM is expected to be build version 7600.16385, and will RTM by July 24th, 2009.

Windows 7 Team blog has posted more precise information on when end-users will get Windows 7 RTM. The date of availability of Windows 7 RTM, again, is depending on which category of your relationship with Microsoft is.

Partners & OEMs

ISV (Independent software vendor) and IHV (Independent hardware vendor) Partners will be able to download Windows 7 RTM from Microsoft Connect or MSDN on August 6th.

Microsoft Partner Program Gold/Certified Members will be able to download Windows 7 RTM in English through the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) Portal on August 16th. By October 1st, the remaining languages will become available to download.
