Windows Vista failed to gain traction with business users, and its successor will not be spared a similar fate, according to a survey put together by ScriptLogic.

Even with corporations having skipped Vista altogether, plans to crowd to the next iteration of Windows in order to migrate their IT infrastructure are not a priority. Out of the 1,100 IT administrators that responded to a survey from ScriptLogic, approximately 60% revealed that they were saying a firm 'no' to Windows 7 upgrades. At the same time, the remaining respondents pointed out that they were indeed gearing up to embrace Windows 7 in the next year and a half.

While 59.3% of IT administrators indicated that their company had no plans to move to Windows 7, almost half were looking to jump to the next version of the Windows client by the end of next year. 34% of respondents stated that Windows 7 deployments would likely be wrapped up by the end of 2010. Only 5.4% of IT administrators will rush to adopt Windows 7, planning to deploy the operating system within months of its finalization, by the end of 2009. Just 1.4% have already upgraded to Windows 7.

When asked what was the biggest barrier standing in the way of Windows 7 uptake, 42.7% of IT administrators stated that it was limited time and resources. No less than 39.1% continue to be worried about application compatibility problems, even though Microsoft went to great lengths to make Windows 7 play nice with Vista applications, and delivering a copy of Windows XP for free via Windows XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC.

what if there are companies ( i cannot write the busynis thing without pasta) where disbaled people like bill gates work who cannot say smth and are blind like apple how are they gonna comminucate?

60 will say fuqit

By Mr.Miyagi on 14.07.2009 - 03:07
thats alot its like 70 and a little less or 50 and a little more.

i think in busyness where fat poeple work w7 will not be adopted so fast course if they see the fat taskbar they gonna eat more.

i also think the curches and the feds are not gonna run w7 so quickly course they hate lies so they will notice the memory amount thingie is talking balony.

but maybe the companies who are producing high quality nature wallpapers like highena poop on the kilimanjaro or some sorry little river in alaska where palin did wash her beaver in.
will need it.

wow, have you ever use vista or windows 7? how about you throw away your 5 year old pc before you call it a resource hog, vista runs just fine on my cheap laptop, and windows 7 takes even less resources. stop being so ignorant.

Survey had only 1100 Respondents out of millions of Companies

By Jeff on 14.07.2009 - 18:07
the survey is a farce. out of millions of companies, there were only 1100 respondants which is not even close to make scientific assumptions or a proper survey.

i phoned 20 companies and they all told me they are all planning on deploying windows 7 by january 2011. so using the same method as scriptlogic, 100% of companies are switching to windows 7.

they can make numbers up all they want, scriptlogics survey is corupt and not scientific.
