Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversUnlike Windows Vista & Windows 7, Window XP do not show Security tab under file or folder properties dialogue box.
Hence every time when you need to change permissions of files or folder you have to boot into safe mode and then change the permissions.
Above method is definitely not suitable for Network administrators & to those users who frequently need to change permissions of files and folder on Windows XP. Here is small utility Security Tab Fixer which enables you to activate / deactivate Microsoft Windows XP’s Security File Tab.
Its simple script written in AutoitV3 following are the features of Security Tab fixer
1. Set Special File / Folder Permissions For Users or Specific Groups

the little credibility that this site had is now fast disappearing. anyone with even a
little it knowledge knows that you do not get the security tab if you are using simple
file sharing
i think its time to join another site that has some people running

why do people still use xp?
