The complete build string for Windows 7 Build 7231 is 7231.0.x86fre.winmain.090608-1900.
Windows 7 Build 7231 is said to be Pre-RTM build, and this build is part of Winmain branch. We should not expect any new changes in recent leak builds apart form bug fixing.
If you are not comfortable with VHD images then you may wait for some time possibly some one will convert Windows 7 Build 7231 VHD images into ISO may leak on torrents.

another,is it fake?
this is a vhd file, im downloading file converted to iso which is reversed engineered
using the loader or installer from the previous build which is 7229. so people tend to
believe that its a fake when they look at the setup file and see the previous build
number, its not u need an installer from a previous build to convert a vhd file to iso. a
lot of people thought 7229 was a fake because it was a vhd file converted to iso, and they
thought it too risky. i installed a clean perfect clean copy of 7229 sp1 and it works
great now downloading build 7231 iso and im pretty sure a lot of people are saying this is
also a fake.
you guys cannot wait one week for rtm, i find that cute

there are 2 ways to install it.
1st way u can do is have 7229 version and then install 7231 on it.
or the 2nd way u
can do it is just install verison 7231 on a new hard drive with noting on it.

this has been converted from vhd(which only runs in virtual
machine) to iso(which can be installed normally)
it was created by vasill,
using install files from build 7229. vasill is the same person that converted the 7227 vhd
that has worked great.
