Yes the first service pack appears before the shipping of Windows 7. It seems redmond giant are working on Service pack with theBeta developement. So what will be the next leak another build of Windows 7 or the Pre SP1. No wonder if we see SP1 leaked on bit-torrent and rapidshare very soon. Wzor is the most trustworthy source of Windows 7 and we can’t neglect his claims. The news of Service pack is old but we haven’t any screenshot till now but earlier Gartner indicated the possibility of SP1 With Initial Windows 7 Deployment. Microsoft learned lots of lessons from Vista and the don’t want to take chances with Windows 7 “ By the time all the above work is performed, there’s a good chance that SP1 will already have shipped. As long as SP1 is available, most organizations will deploy their PCs with it.There is another good reason to use SP1 when deploying a new OS instead of the initial version (we call the initial release “SP0?). The greatest number of fixes will generally be released soon after a product ships. As a product ages, fewer things need to be fixed. Therefore, the time between Service Packs will increase as a product ages. Microsoft will only support a Service Pack for 24 months after the successive Service Pack ships. Thus, deploying systems with SP1 will mean that SP1 will not need to be deployed after the OS ships, and more time will pass before a Service Pack needs to be deployed. For example, if SP1 will ship nine to 12 months after SP0, but SP2 does not ship until at least 24 months after SP1, then the initial deployment will run almost 16 months longer before support for that Service Pack expires and SP2 must be deployed (see Figure 1). Service Pack release timing should not be taken as an official prediction or estimate of timing.”

no sens in sp1 while the main prog still changes all the time.

why make a servicepack to a program still in development? that's the point in that?!
ok you can still use windows 7 with the default beta service pack and everyone else can
enjoy the bugfixes and extras.
maybe this was just a test from m$ to see if service pack incorporation was working.

according to insider information microsoft isn't working on
sp1!
wzor was getting very well known because of windows 7. after the release of the
rc and the information that ms will release windows 7 shortly, latest on october 15. 2009,
wzor need some more news to keep them name up in the daily news. what would better than
windows 7 sp1?
how many times have you heard that corporate won't install the latest os from anyone
until sp1 is available. well guess what, someone at ms actually is thinking ahead. the
sooner to adopt the sooner their profits go up. actually makes sense to me from that
perspective.

if you think that they found some things that, while they don't crack the os entirely,
still really need to be fixed, and surely they don't want to delay the launch date of
windows 7, you could see while some teams could be assigned to work on solutions for those
problems, make tests and have an sp available really soon after rtm. also, they may have
seen that, lately, users start pointing to problems of a new windows as soon as the second
day of its release, so why not have fixes to offer them that very day... that can only
work good for microsoft... and to close my long comment with another long one :), the sp
may also be the carrier of new features that they know they cannot finish until the rtm
date, but, if they start working on them earlier, then they will be able to release them
and add value to the os while 7 is still under the scope of critiques and while companies
still evaluate if to begin or not windows 7 upgrade procedures; in fact, after the vista
turn-off and with the world crisis at the door, reasons to prevent another failure... they
got plenty of.
sp is a release for older stabil os version like rtm or sp1, sp2 or etc for bug fixed..
they are not release those sp for beta or rc because they will release a new beta or
rc os build to fix it
i don't think it's a real sp1. they can just offer hotfixes to fix the os soon.
i think it's just a testing for sp1 integration /installation for the w7
