Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversAfter availability of Windows Vista Service Pack 2 for public download I am sure many users would have already installed Vista Service Pack 2 to see the performance improvements and its advisable to install Windows Vista sp2 as it has many noticeable changes and also includes all the fixes released after Vista sp1.
However in past we have seen almost after every service pack release for respective windows operating system users had to suffer from various issues, a recent example is Windows XP sp3 endless reboot bug. This will be typical concern of IT admin guy of big corporate networks.
Network Admin has to take decision on whether to upgrade all the machines with Windows Vista sp1 to service pack 2 or not. Until Microsoft pushes Vista Service Pack 2 to Automatic Windows Update you can safely ignore Service Pack 2 but after that it you will not have control over Service Pack 2 as your Vista may get updated via Windows Update.
Well don’t worry Microsoft has provided handy utility Windows Service Pack Blocker Tool Kit to block installation of Vista Service Pack 2 updates through Windows Update. Windows Service Blocker Tool kit comes with three option, Executable, Script and ADM to block Automatic Service Pack installation.
