Are you looking to get a copy of Windows 7 when it's released sometime later this year?

Well it looks like Microsoft is giving out a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate to participants of the Windows Feedback Program who meet certain criteria according to an e-mail shown in the screenshot below:

To those who are wondering what the e-mail says:

To encourage your continued participation in the Windows Feedback Program using Windows 7 RC, we will send you a copy of the commercially released version of Windows 7 Ultimate as a gift within 3 months of its general availability in the US provided that:

1. You are a US resident of age 18 or older;
2. You signed up for the Windows Feedback Program through the Windows 7 beta Community Preview Program; and
3. You have sent data using the Windows Feedback Program automated instrumentation software from Windows 7 RC for at least 4 months.

free copy of windows 7...wishful thinking , nowhere does it say anything about a free gift...
the windows feedback program
we are committed to making the windows experience better for you. a lot of our efforts focus on engaging with customers in focus groups, surveys, usability studies, and visits to customers' homes and workplaces. the windows feedback program allows you to connect directly with the windows product team using your computer. when you submit input to us, it directly influences future microsoft products.

by participating in the program, you can help us focus our work on the features that you use most often, tell us where to simplify our software when it is too difficult, and suggest new capabilities that improve your experience. the program includes two parts: a survey feedback program and an automated feedback program.

as of january 23, 2008, the windows feedback program is temporarily closing enrollment for new participants. because our customers have been so responsive, we have reached full capacity for this program. we don't have a definite date when we will re-open the program for enrollment. please email winpanel at microsoft.com if you are interested in being notified when we open for enrollment again.

enrollment of new windows 7 beta participants to the windows feedback program is currently closed. the capacity for new enrollees was reached on february 12th, 2009.
