Yeah, well it turns out that the sentence doesn't matter to them. According to Tom's Hardware, Peter Sunde, one of the founding members, have said that the website cannot and will not pay the fine.
The founding members, Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Peter Sunde and Carl Lundström have told loyal supporters of the questionable website not to send donations to them to help pay the fine. Sunde came out stating, "We can't pay and we wouldn't pay. Even if I had the money I would rather burn everything I owned, and I wouldn't even give them the ashes." In mockery of the sentence, the spokesman showed, "I OWE U 31,000,000 SEK," on a sign during a webcast and said, "That's as close as you're going to get."

let them go f uck karl marx's a.s.s
these guys have b a l l s if i were a dude i would want to be like them. :p
what does karl marx have to do with this?
lets see him say that to the judge in court
you think the judge cannot read? of course he knows what they say. i expect an appeal
to result in a reversal anyway, if justice be served. these four are correct with their
argument that they cannot provide a gurantee that their service will not be used
criminally. would you expect gm to gurantee their cars will not be used to run over
someone intentionally, or by a drunken driver?
i think it would have been pretty easy for them to check what was on their website, they
might have missed some illegal content but not all of it! :)
they should have had
small fines, not a stupid big one that they can't pay! what ever happened to common
sense?
first my advice to "obama" is stay in school. i think pirate bay should be left alone,
because they don't bring any harm to anyone. personally they made a difference in my life
and i am sure i am not the only one. everyone living in us doesn't understand this, but
not everyone in world can afford some piece of software for $100-200 i am not even kiddin,
not because they dont work but couz of country's economy. and software companies don't
care where u live and how much u earn, they just care for profit from countries with
money. plus what ever u download out there most likely belongs to some corporate giant
Хуй who wouldn't even be tickled by pirate downloads anyway. today i
pay for my software because i can afford it, but yesterday i downloaded it because it was
a necessity.
lawyers for the defense are calling for a retrial. swedish radio station sveriges radio
p3 news program revealed that judge tomas norström holds close ties to pro-copyright
organizations and his ruling may be considered a substantial conflict of interest. if it
can be proven that norström has a legitimate bias against the pirate bay four based on his
affiliations, there is a possibility the original verdict could be thrown out. sveriges
radio reported that norström is a member of the following pro-copyright or
copyright-relevant organizations that may have impacted his decision-making abilities at
the trial:
* the swedish association of copyright, a discussion forum. while such an affiliation
may seem harmless, other members of the organization include henrik pontén, monique
wadsted, and peter danowsky — three key representatives in the entertainment industry’s
case against pirate bay.
* the swedish association for the protection of
industrial property, an organization devoted to implementing stronger copyright laws.
norström sits on the board.
* .se, the internet infrastructure foundation,
another harmless-sounding affiliation with another questionable allegiance: monique
wadsted is also a member of this group that oversees the .se name domain and handles
domain disputes.
peter althin, the lawyer who represents pirate bay
spokesperson peter sunde, told the local that in setting up this case, several lay judges
were thrown out due to conflicts of interest. that norström somehow sneaked past this
deletion process raised suspicion and anger in the defense team. norström claims that his
decision was not colored by his associations. “my view has been that these activities do
not constitute a conflict of interest,” he told sveriges radio. it’s evident that judge
norström has strong ties to the pro-copyright lobby. i think he should have stepped down
from the case in the beginning. that he didn’t shows a serious perversion of justice. last
friday, pirate bay was sacked with a bill for 30 million swedish kronor (us$3.6 million)
and a one-year prison sentence for the pirate bay four: fredrik neij, gottfrid svartholm
warg, peter sunde and carl lundström.
they are so hard asses. that good...
... or did he 'know' you ??
(in the biblical sense)
if so, how
many times (per day) ??
... in which case tpb-dudez will probly enjoy their time 'at king olaf's pleasure',
although i supect they will never do a day inside. yodels!

week!?!?!?
