this is beginning to sound like a joke. how many builds are they releasing before they
feel, it will be just right. im still at 7057...and im staying there till the legit
appears.

well, cant u just download this win 70 chinees and then download the english mui for win
7???
just stay on 7077 that's the most stable out of the bunch, and more compatibly, and a
lot faster in gaming by 8 percent. 7068 is also on the gaming performance, but i'd stick
with 7077. then just wait till rc.
can i use english mui's on this release?
i mean may i change mui files with iso
editor?
several people on another site have tried to install the english mui, but aren't having
any luck, on the chinese rip

who needs windows 7 when you can do everything with ubuntu
and its free
now feck off and try and install something mainstream.
there is a file on piratebay that will allow you to use this build in english, but it
will be complicated to integrate it, so be carefull, please backup files first.
the english version would only be a few days away so better off holding out until then.

"ok its semi working, however instalation is bit complicated :)
first of all
download pack and extract it somewhere on c:.
1st: you need to copy all folders
to c:\ and overwrite everything, however it will give you premission problems even if you
copy as admin since lots of files are protected, so what i suggest is to boot it from win7
english dvd (version doesnt matter), chose repair there and copy from that command prompt
with xcopy. i added "1stcopyme.cmd" that you can run when you are there so you dont need
to use xcopy :)
2nd: boot in to windows, it will still be in chinese, so you
run "2ndrunmeasadmin.cmd" as admin doh! reboot and windows should be in english!

edit: 1stcopyme.cmd script _only_ works if you
have windows parition when booted from dvd on c:\
edit2: 2ndrunmeasadmin.cmd is
broken ;) so just apply english in to registry and reboot
ill add few things
here, manual command for xcopy is, you put your self in to directory where you unpacked
files and execute "xcopy * x:\ /s" where x stands for your windows paritions, however
be extra carfule, because your windows letter of the driver doesnt neccesery match to
letter of the drive when booted from dvd.
about broken 2ndrunmeasadmin.cmd
first you run english so you add english registry settings, then you can also run script,
it will error out twice, but still add boot screen in english (otherwise it will be in
chinese).

goto language bar on
desktop, make en-us priority, remove chinese ... same for keyboard

+ reboot (maybe a few times) to lose chinese menus, etc.

thing missing is speech recognition (chinese only installed)

update: the current situation has been clarified a bit to me. (thanks to tom warren
neowin admin for this). build 7106, which leaked the other day in chinese, is in fact 7076
with a revved up build number. so currently 7077 is the newest from a code perspective as
7106 does not contain the new visual style elements (updated taskbar buttons etc…) that
are in 7077. so for all of you who have 7077, stick with it and don’t bother with 7106,
it’s not worth the hassle of attempting to translate it.
i wonder wiil they fix the issues with gameguard??

7077 is the same as build 7105 and you will see that both these builds were compiled on
the same day. build 7077 comes from the rc escrow branch and will be renamed build 7100 if
no showstopper bugs are found. windows 7 build 7105 is the first build of the rtm branch.
in other words, build 7105 is branched off from build 7077. trying to make a chinese
version 7106 work just because it has a higher number version by 1 digit is just a waste
of time and energy and won't achieve anything.
