* Noticeable improvements in boot to desktop times (versus Vista) in many systems
* Almost all existing Vista drivers are compatible
* Good Vista Application compatibility (including the IE 8 compatibility mode)
* Transcoding (ripping) media files is faster than Vista
Dell also plans to test the later builds of Windows 7 and share the experiences with users.
It is good to see Dell testing Windows 7 in their systems at an early stage.Personally, I have found Dell Laptops with Windows Vista to have many problems, especially with the display drivers and had to re-install often or call their support all the time. But if they are adressing these issues early with Windows 7, then we can expect good turnaround of Windows 7 machines from Dell.
If you are running Windows 7 already on your Dell laptop/PC, you can share your experiences here with Dell
