The Windows 7 Feature Walkthroughs is a collection of video screencasts set up to provide an insight into Windows 7. Users will be able to access no less than 10 videos via the Windows 7 Features Walkthroughs page on TechNet, with the content offered for viewing via Silverlight. At the same time, all the screencasts are available for download in WMV format.
The Walkthroughs involve features such as the User State Migration Tool, BranchCache, DirectAccess, User Account Control, Windows Troubleshooting Platform, AppLocker, Explore Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM), Enterprise Application Compatibility, Problem Steps Recorder, as well as BitLocker and BitLocker to Go. At the same time, Microsoft is providing users with an RSS feed, which will offer notifications when the Redmond company updates the content available via the Windows 7 Feature Walkthroughs.
“The Problem Steps Recorder in the Windows 7 operating system is a feature that enables users to record their interactions with an application and provide a detailed screen-by-screen view with accompanying information. Learn how the recording can be used to quickly identify problems and help reduce time spent with the help desk,” Microsoft's presentation of the Problem Steps Recorder screencast reads.
