Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista Release Candidate is an update to Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.
UPDATE: On March 4th the Release Candidate build (16670) was released to our CPP participants for testing. If you have the prior version of Service Pack 2 installed (Beta build 16497) you will need to un-install it before installing the newer RC build(16670) from the links below. For details on how to un-install please see Things to Know about SP2 RC .

As expected,
Windows Vista Service Pack 2 RC and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 RC is now available to general public for download. You can download the SP2 RC for both Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 below:
- ISO for Windows Server 2008 x86/x64/ia64 and Windows Vista x86/x64
- x86 for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista x86
- x64 for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista x64
- IA64 for Windows Server 2008 ia64

has anyone tested this with the bios emulation crack or vista loader? and if so what is
the verdict?

i've tested it whit vista loader and it's ok, the windows continues

it places on the desktop the "evaluatiom version' water mark but still active and
"genuine"
vista remains "genuine" and remains activated and as mentioned there's the water mark.
had to run slmgr -rearm to be able to complete the install and so have others with
"genuine" versions. hopefully someone will have some sort of patch to remove the water
mark . . .

where is the activator
for this new yet another microsoft crap ...
just wanted to let people know that i and running a hp m7480n and no matter what i tried
i was getting a bsod 10 times or more a day under vista and vista sp1. so i had been
sticking to xp. i saw that sp2 was ou so i thought i'd give i on e more try. it's been
5 days and no bsod!!!! just thought i'd pass it along.
running vista sp2, win7 v.7048, ubuntu intrepid ibex on my dell inspiron 1720 and they
all run fine except vista sp2 will not detect or connect to any of my other networked
machines

installed rc on one of my server 2008 standard systems that i was having bsod problems
with, it fixed it right up.
ya see j-boy other countries have a different way of writing dates. you didn't learn
much in school.
