Windows 7 Build 7048, which may possibly to become the release candidate for upcoming Windows 7 operating system, has had its 64-bit (x64) installation files leaked on Internet. The leaked x64 Windows 7 Build 7048 appears to have the same build number with the Windows 7 Build 7048 screenshots leaked previously, which is version 6.1.7048.0 (winmain.090219-1845).

The Windows 7 Build 7048 x64 is leaked by DiamondNRG, the same people who also leaked Windows 7 Build 7022 x64 . Again, similar with Windows 7 Build 7022 that is been leaked by the same person, the download is not an actual DVD ISO image in its entirety. Instead, it’s just a complete copy and rip of the installation files from the DVD. To install Windows 7 Build 7048 x64, the easiest way currently is to in-place upgrade the existing installation of 64-bit Windows Vista or Windows 7. 32-bit (x86) users will be out-of-luck though, as the 64-bit setup.exe cannot be used on the 32-bit environment. it is simple to get it to boot from dvd all you have to do is extract the boot file from the dvd structure on the 64bit dvd of beta 1 and load the boot structure into the 7048 build after u make it into an iso image

the difference is not because of size of ram. it's all the performance. windows 7 x86 only accommodates old architecture where x64 is a new architecture which allows them to improve the speed on the software thus making windows faster in x64 or else there wouldn't be any point of having a x64.

what . . . u do not make sense--just posting stuff i guess.
win7 64 is great and if you have a lot of ram, windows performance will be better, but apps are mostly written for x86, so speed improvements are not much with them--maybe someday when apps are written for x64 . . .

hey froy11 the driver problem used to be a problem for the x64 however with windows 7 it does not matter any drivers work just like 32 bit programs thanks to there new emulation of the x32 and hoomi you will be suprised but there is actually quite a lot of apps for x64 just like xilisoft ultimate video converter.

i have just upgraded my beta 7000 to 7048, running setup.exe directly in the downloaded files folder. it takes a long time, though, since it has to keep all already installed apps... but works great.

like my title lol..how can i make the dvd files into an iso...since i started downloading the one that was already extracted i wanna burn it to a cd but it wont boot and i read a few post above that u need something from build 7000..so yea any clue how to help me anyone?

i do have a clue because one you are limited to just the x86 architecture, but x64 hardware allows newer programs such as windows 7 to have better performance. you haven't even tried installing an x64 on your system have you? maybe you should do that, and find out.

on mininova (the 1st leak of diamondnrg) is a link to an explanation. you have to download vlite and copy the bootbin (in prog.files) into poweriso / ultraiso via the menu (extra/options).

i made a dvd this way but did not test it yet.
