The Pirate Bay's founders, Peter Kolmisoppi, Gottfrid Warg, Carl Lundstrom and Fredrik Neij, all claimed "not guilty," and Swedish prosecutors laid down the framework of the suit. The main accusation is that The Pirate Bay was in fact a commercial site with Carl Lundstrom as chief shareholder and financier, where income was drawn from advertising.
They also accused the Pirate Bay of planning to take its operations offshore to escape Swedish copyright law. Most of the time today, however, was spent covering all of the reported copyright infringements by the Pirate Bay, discussing the ways files could be obtained by users, and discussing the May 2006 raid of the Pirate Bay servers.
Fortunately, the Pirate Party showed up in force, and participants kept a live commentary open, adding depth and emotion to what would otherwise have been a somewhat arduous first day (PDF transcript). The defendants face a possible two year imprisonment and at least $150,000 in the criminal case, and the media companies seek an additional €10 million in damages.

hell yes! good luck to pirate bay!
die biatches who want to put down the best torrent site in the world, huaaa.
convict anyone about hosting files called torrents if the content do not really relys on
those servers. they will get away with it...
don't they have better things to do????
pirate bay ftw!
if the media orgs get this case won, everyone should do a protest and stop buying their
crap for one month. send the fckers broke and force them to reduce their rip off prices.
i won't be buying any more movies from any of those companies. period. and now i'm even
gonna download more their movies from torrents, any other p2p sharing platgorm or any
other future sharing platform. those companies just gained my unsimpaty and i'll do
everything to spread the feeling about them...
take care...
hope that pirate bay will prevail this case! i've been their loyal user for such a long
time. shit! don't have to end like this, i'll support you, pirate bay!
all i have to say is all hail the pirate bay!
jim from sweden.
good luck pb, you will win!
those liberals can't never go away and growing strong with the help of democraps!
our revolution bases on obama will of share!
its all about sharing things with your friends, in the widest sense of the word. if you
lend someone the book you bought, it aint illegal. if you make a copy of a poem and give
it to your girlfriend, it aint illegal. p2p has just taken these concepts of sharing a bit
further. it is not primarily about saving money and not buying cds and dvds...i personally
buy those things even though it is easy to download...it is more about the fun, finding
the good releases, starting a download, getting a good ratio, sharing a special program
you know many ppl will enjoy. the big companies sueing tpb are only acting out of greed
and hunger for more profit. p2p is only for fun...lets hope tpb wins :)
the pirate bay founders will pwn these rich corporate morons.
it's time to make "change". all movies and expensive software shall be free. hail to
pirate bay!!!!
