Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated driversYesterday Microsoft made available Internet Explorer 8 RC1 (release candidate 1), which means that as far as Microsoft is concerned, IE8 is cooked and that barring anything major, this will become the final release. So, what’s the new browser like?
A new release of IE is always important because this is the browser that many millions of Windows users will be surfing the web with daily. Like it or not, by the very fact that IE is knitted into every Windows installation makes this an important event.
After what seemed like years of stagnation, Microsoft is continuing the tradition of kitting out IE8 with features that users of other browsers take for granted. That said, there are very nice features built into IE8, which include:
Smart Address Bar
Enhanced find
Tab groups
InPrivate
Crash recovery

same ie beta1,beta2,rc1. nothing change.
grunt grunt nothing change
i eat little boys for dinner
after install everything was fine, next day all my favourites have disappeared
wouldnt install,ie8 said computer needed update, but update said computer didnt need the
updatei,about 6 times,i quit,back to firefox, and ie7
what is this fuss with ie8, ie suucks, doesnt matter what version it is. slowest and
crappest browser alive, use mozilla firefox, cant compare it to ie or any other.
favourites list suddenly appeared, weird . . . have to agree with lovegod firefox is far
more advanced and uses very little pc resources.
i downloadd ie8.0 rc1 (i have been using ie for years in different versions)and it
installed smoothly if a little slow on both my boxes (xp pro sp3 & vista sp1). i have
found ie8.0 to be very fast and very nice so far but i still prefer both firefox & opera
which i have been using for some time due to higher levels of security. nop!! ie8.0 rc1
was worth the wait imo its nice but it doesn't exactly rock my world.
eh lets forget about trying new technologies. stay in the stone age you lamers! don't
bother with windows 7 either as it may be too much for you wussys to handle. go buy a mac
you fags.
i was surprised with the speed diference between ie8 beta 2 and the ie8 release
candidate1.
ie8 rc1 feels much faster imo!
other than for windows update, who in their right mind still uses ie? firefox has many
more features, is customizable, has a much smaller footprint ram-wise, and just looks
better.
who cares ?????
firefox rules and always will
yep!! i still love firefox 3.0.5 and opera too. :-))
chrome... all the whey.
shut the hell up all you losers.
arawa has no brain. he can't look inside ie8 rc's code and still says nothing has
changed. well done you dumb user interface boy. you know clearly nothing about software.
oh, and please die a slow death.
still got the problem that ie will not show up some websites, also in compatility mode :(
so why there's so much good appraisals for firefox on the web?
that's simple,
cause the firefox's community is the noisiest of them all!
in the era of 1gb+ ram does +/- 30mb of ram really matter that much?
ie 8 rc 1 for windows 7 ???
my dear jennifer...yes! i only can look at your hul n will die slowly on your chest...luv
u..bye...
i think that rc1 is indeed faster than beta 2, but still too slow to stop me from using
google chrome. it's cleaner, faster, more organized, and very functional.
go screw yourself just.
i installed rc1 and it refused to allow me to enable firefox as my default browser.
uninstalled it. don't need it. firefox and opera for me.
firefox rules!!!
yeah right... opera rulez bigtime!
