Tip: Click here to update all your PC's outdated drivers We revealed that Microsoft would be posting a public beta of Windows 7 earlier this week and Microsoft has just made it available on it's TechNet channels.
Entitled Windows 7 beta customer preview program, the company has posted the beta bits to the Microsoft TechNet pages. Be warned it's rather slow at the moment.
According to Microsoft there are 2.5 million keys to go around worldwide so plenty in other words. Microsoft is also providing a QFE patch for the MP3 corruption issues that have plagued build 7000, this should be online shortly as KB961367. It's extremely important you apply this patch as you may lose parts of your MP3s if the patch is not applied.
It's fully confirmed that the beta 1 build is 7000 that leaked shortly after Christmas. Our members have been discussing the Windows 7 availability for the past week in one of our more popular forum threads. According to sources close to Microsoft, the company is significantly further on from build 7000, having posted 7016 internally recently. It's understood that the development has branched from 7003 onwards ready for the RC/RTM stages.

well.
yeah i guess, it won't load here as well.
server is too busy
m$ in future would be better off customer wise to have an advanced
"hotmail"
application/response setup which would avoid this
"server to busy" message
my idea 200,000 hits/day vs 2,500,000 all at once
you can download it from here...

anobyd know what the beta key is though so we can activate it?
i don't think the point was downloading the iso, the main focus was getting a legit key
so windows update would function properly.

why would people rush into testing an unfinished product based on a published products
(vista) that is still unstable and under many facelufting and updates!? i don't think it
is an interesting os to consider since vista already costs alot to purchace, i wonder how
much would they charge for that in the future..
they should learn the os lesson
from apple..
thanks
power user, just cause.
and rushing to test the beta means that the final product will be much better. instead of
keeping the product from the public, all software vendors should learn from microsoft and
release betas. this will improve their software and also find bugs. major bugs will then
be gone from the final release.
oh and btw windows 7 is really stable for a
beta xd. i better start installing it!
windows vista is a final product but seems to be under so many changes! the consumer is
the one to suffer. this scenario reminds me of the scam few years ago called windows
millenium it was not much of a change out of windows 98. windows 7 at this stage seems to
be thes same as vista. many people are still prefering xp as a base os rather than the
constly upgrade to vista or what will follow
the x64 version downloaded fine for me from the microsoft link in the topic.
the 32-bit version breaks at ~280mb, every time.

with every msoft win release the critics come out of their dark corners... while the
salivating fanbois or gals cant defrag their lolly-licking enthusiasm... die xp!
